  1. Hi everyone! Since High Sierra, I have very bad experience with FCPX 10.4 in terms of performance. Video editing process is a nightmare because its very slow and the renderings are slower than a 5 year old MacBook Pro. In that moment I want to mention that all these years I'm using my Nvidia GPU only, and the iGPU is always disabled.

After spending many hours to find a solution to my problem, I discovered a guide on the Internet (https://hackintosher.com/guides/fix-rendering-issues-fcpx-high-sierra/)img][img] that is suggesting to turn on iGPU and enable "hardware encoding supported" on my iGPU. I followed the instructions and I found that FCPX was much much faster than before. On the ACPI column in Clover Configurator the guide was suggesting to use 3 patches but only the 2 were listed, so I added the 3rd one "change PEGP to GFX0" and saved. When I open the the same column, the 3rd patch isn't listed but it shows normally if I open the config.plist with text.

My problem in FCPX lies that, every time I will use transitions, effects, stabilizer, I get as a result serious glitch (green square patterns) effects! I tried also BruceX 5kK, and it took 45 secs to render. As a result I was having again green squares full of artifacts. Geekbench from the other gives very good scores with both iGpu and dGpu. I hope there is a solution to my problem, any suggestions?

    My System is:
    Intel i7 4790k
    16GB DDR3 2400mhz (Dual Channel) 11-13-13-31
    Asus Z97-P
    Asus GTX 770 2GB
    Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (10.3.3 main disk)
    Samsung 840 EVO 250GB (10.3.3 test disk)
    Dell U2413 (1920x1200) mDP connection
    Dell U2417H (1920x1080) HDMI connection
    SMBIOS is iMac 14.2

Hi, I experienced similar graphic issues while I had my iGPU (Intel i5 + Gigabyte Z97H) enabled together with an GTX 1050 Ti.
After I disabled the iGPU in the BIOS everything looks and works good. I can't tell about graphics performance though.

  2. Problem solved, I had my onboard Intel graphics still enabled and that caused these strange glitches (and probably some spontaneous reboots) as well.  After disabling it in the BIOS everything seems ok.

  3. Did you have installed the latest version of Web Drivers?

    Yes, version 387.10.10.10.25.158 for 10.13.3 build 17D102.

I have this behaviour with every build since I went to High Sierra and GTX 1050 Ti.

  4. Since I've installed a new GTX 1050ti I'm experiencing strange graphic glitches, e.g. some parts of application screens get scrambled (graphic noise), see attached example where the same page is loaded in both Firefox (scrambled on the left) and Safari (normal on the right).

I had to upgrade to a newer graphics card because my old GTX 660 was no longer supported in MacOS 10.13 High Sierra.

  5. Meteorite,

iMessage/FaceTime is working again (thanks to my sister's MBP  :P).

Airdrop is also working both ways.

I had handoff working shortly, but now I'm not able to get it working again?!?

I already did the following with no success:

    - signed off/on from iCloud on iPhone and hack

    - deleted /L/P/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist

    - switched off/on Bluetooth

    Is your Handoff still working?

  6. Yes, stuck about a week try to fix with many solutions found on many site including Apple forum. But none is working.

I'll make a call to Apple Support to solve my apple id today.

Don't call Apple because since a few days they have strengthen their registration process for iMessage/FaceTime. Customer support is no longer able to enable your device based on the Customer Code you give them, it will fail to register.

The only working solution is to insert a real MLB/ROM code.

  7. Yes ALC1150 works (by toleda's patch; clover patch method).

update: AirPort is working now with SSDT and kext from Rampage's blog. :thumbsup_anim:

I finally got my BCM94360CD card with PCIe adapter and I installed it, bluetooth works but it doesn't detect the WiFi network adapter?!?

Did you have to do anything special to get it working?

Found the problem: had to install the adapter in a PCIe 1x slot (power requirements), it's now working :-)

  8.

Without more information regarding the KP, it is not possible to blame AppleHDA.kext.  If the kext has a problem, it does not load; result, no audio.  Removing the kext causes a kernel cache rebuild which may have been the original issue.  Suggest installing the native 10.10.1 AppleHDA.kext and restarting.  If no panic, run the script and restart.  If KP, note what caused the panic.

Missed this note in the Terminal Output and Post #1, Note 5:

NOTE: ALC1150 only, make edit before restarting
    config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/ALC1150/Replace edit required
    Before: <09ec10>   After: <0009ec10> or
    Before: CewQ   After: AAnsEA==

Before: <09ec10>   After: <0009ec10> did the trick, thanks again!

  9. No audio patches in KextsToPatch, is that what you removed?  If yes, run the patch again.  Edit the 1150 patch as noted in Post #1.  Reply with Terminal output, config.plist, debug.log and IOReg.

Nope, there was something wrong in the USB section. After correcting that, I re-ran the script with the output posted above.

  10. Problem with config.plist.  Attach both EFI/CLOVER/config.plist and config-backup.plist

I was able to get rid of the corrupted config.plist file by using 'plural', but I still don't get the ALC1150 working.
Attached is the corrected config.plist (SMBIOS specific info removed) and the script output.

Toleda, could you please have another look at it?! TIA

    Archief.zip

  11. For some reason the script returns a lot of errors, what could be wrong?!?

  12. I'm back up and running, what is did was the following:

    1. Copied the Config.plist and SSDT.aml from the Rampage's Haswell DMG to my Installer USB (previously created, same procedure as Rampage).
    2. Booted from USB and in Clover selected the HDD partition to continue.
    3. Succesfully booted into Yosemite
    4. Copied the SSDT.aml from the USB EFI partition to the HDD EFI partition
    5. Merged the Config.plist from the USB with the one on the HDD EFI partition, mainly to keep the SMBIOS settings to avoid iMessage/Facetime registration issues.
    6. After rebooting I had to clear the network configuration because the Atheros network adapter was assigned to en3, which caused problems with iMessage/Facetime.
    7. Everything is working (network assigned to en0).

Next step is to try the ALC audio patches, but there is no real need because I use a USB audio solution (Focusrite with active speakers).

Joshua and Meterite, thanks for your help and suggestions, donation for Rampage is on its way!

  13. Today I replaced my 'old' main board (GA-H87N-WIFI) with the GA-Z97X-UDH5, while keeping my CPU, memory, SSD. For some reason I can no longer boot from any device, not the previously working SSD (Yosemite 10.10), nor any newly created installer USB (MBR or UEFI)?!?

After selecting the boot device in the Clover menu it starts booting but shortly after it ends with a kernel panic:

"Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"

I already tried various boot flags, including -x -f -v GraphicsEnabler=No, but always with the same result.

Where do I have to start looking, I'm a bit lost now.

  14. I have the same problem since I connected my Dell U2713H through DisplayPort earlier today?!? With my previous monitor (DVI) I had no problems with sleep/wake.

Here is my 'Wake Reason' from the Kernel log:

    04-11-14 20:51:23,000 kernel[0]: Wake reason: GLAN EHC1 EHC2 XHC HDEF (Network)
