1. Same problem here, it's only for video in browsers as well...video players and iTunes work fine. Any permanent solutions?
2. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Thanks, indeed it did! Console is clean now.

An update - I've also made the jump to Lion (10.7.4). I used iAtkos L2 to install overtop of my existing Snow Leopard partition. Everything seems to be working, I had issues with resuming from hibernate so I've switched to "suspend to RAM" sleep mode (booting is quite fast so RAM sleep or full power off work for me). I was using kext fixes for AR9285 wifi, but the update to 10.7.4 (from 10.7.3) broke it for some reason - now working with edited DSDT (see http://www.insanelym...howtopic=234570) and DeviceMergeNub from juanerson in post #135 in that thread. With this fix, mixed n/g seems to work too (g only before). I put all my kexts in /S/L/E now, apparently /Extra/Extensions shouldn't be used with Lion. See: http://www.insanelym...dpost&p=1815268 Two issues I'd like to resolve sometime but aren't a priority: 1) My current sound fix spams my console log with "Sound assertion "kTypePinComplex != fType" failed in "/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-187.4.1/AppleHDA/AppleHDAWidget.cpp" at line 2018". EDIT: Fixed with bungo's suggestion post #323. 2) The computer just runs out of power when on battery rather than going to sleep, this has always happened, even when hibernate was working. Extra folder and extensions in S/L/E: http://www.mediafire...wqssvtiebivcchy

Not a full solution either, but changing the wireless mode to g-only (not b/g/n mixed) I have no problems. Unfortunately you don't always have access to the router settings. Also, I followed antagon's method on page 12 to get alc 296 working, sound seems crisper at high levels and the mic works well. Thanks antagon. Still on 10.6.8 here.

That's right, for this method. Also, you aren't "making mac run on your pc," you are trying to run OS X on non-Apple hardware. Honestly, you should do a lot more reading before you try anything. You need a basic understanding because, trust me, things will go wrong with the installation. The process has become much more novice-friendly, perhaps too much so that people blindly install with no idea what they are doing. Anyway, that's my two-cent disclaimer. Some more reading for you: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=243502 If you don't have a working OS X system available to you, look into nawcom's ModCD, meklort's NBI, or TonyMac's #####. But again, please have an idea what is going on before you install.

I would say start here: http://myhack.sojugarden.com/ The 1-click installs do more harm than good I think, read and learn lots.

Same issue here with new routers and the AR9285, I've tried various kexts floating around and also some DSDT tweaking...to no avail. Please post if anyone has ideas. Still on Snow Leopard here.
8. Chameleon Wizard - Utility for Chameleon.

I can't speak for the Wizard side of things, but I just fixed that error myself...reinstalled chameleon via Ubuntu live cd. I would just try reinstalling Cham.
9. Atheros AR9285 fix for Snow Leopard - Mavericks

I get dependency issues when I try to rebuild kextcaches with skvo's kext. You've replaced your IO80211.kext with this? In /Extra/Extensions or /S/L/E?
10. Samsung R Series Notebooks

Did you try google? Search input "site:insanelymac.com intel 4500" gives you some reading to do. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1490967

I'm also wondering if anyone else got HDMI audio to work. The HDMI video comes out crisp but the audio just goes through the internal speakers. I'll post if I find anything new. EDIT: Just found the HDMI audio info on this thread (oops, missed it before). Will tinker and get back to you.
12. Using a Mac Mini? Yes it is possible, but do not use any of the methods used on this thread, which is for people using non-Apple hardware. You should use Boot Camp. Start here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3986

Switch AHCI to Manual, Enabled in BIOS.
14. Default Boot Disk in my OSX86 machine

Did you google it or look in Chameleon documentation? Add this to your com.apple.Boot.plist <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(x,y)</string> x,y is your disk, partition.

Thanks, that worked for me. Also, the VoodooHDA from Marten on page 7 fixed crackling audio after hibernate resume. Thanks, Marten. On a side note, my disk got really messed up with errors Disk Utility could not repair. I restored a dmg of "Snow Leo 911 Pro" (google it) to a small partition and used DiskWarrior, which fixed it right up. Highly recommend people have a small partition with a slim install (~3GB) like that, plus there are a ton of utilities pre-installed on that image. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone else has problems at some point and stumbles across this. EDIT: I also got display brightness fixed using nobb1x's DSDT patch HERE and ivik's GenericBrightness kext (although getting KP's on boot more often than not). Using Fn+F12 and Fn+Break to adjust brightness. Latest DSDT attached for reference. dsdt.zip
