  1. 1. You need to have original AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E. 2. Install DummyHDA.kext with kextutility. 3. You need to patch applehda using clover 'Kexts to patch'... See this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2030060
  2. Thanks, 'RM,device-id' was what I had wrong. Using this DSM made it work. I didn't apply this, still it works. But I loose hdmi audio after sleep. Any suggestions?
  3. Try the attached kext. I haven't tested it, let me know how it goes. I need some help to get my HDMI audio working. What I did: 1. Renamed B0D3 to HDAU in dsdt and ssdt, and added _DSM method. 2. Used two AppleIntelFramebufferAzul patches to change <00 04 00 00> to <00 08 00 00> 3. Used two AppleHDAController patches. 4. Rebuilt caches in 'boot without caches' mode. What happens: 1. 'HDMI / DisplayPort Output' in Sys Info > Audio 2. HDAU@3 in ioreg, with subnode(s). 3. AppleIntelFramebuffer@1,2 have connection type <00 08 00 00> 4. IGPU, HDEF, HDAU have hda-gfx=<"onboard-1">. But still no HDMI option in System Pref > Audio, when connected to TV. Is there something I'm missing out? (attached ioreg was saved when hdmi was connected.) DummyHDA-top_speakers.kext.zip Maddyz-Mac.ioreg.zip
  4. Thanks for the update. I'll try it out over the weekend (bit busy these days). Meanwhile, the simplest way to get just the top speakers working is to 1. edit config data and define speaker at node 15 (0x0f) (thats where top speakers are on my system). 2. change node 13 (0x0d) to 15 (0x0f) in platforms.xml.zlib file.
  5. I reboot my system a couple of times, headphone switching is still working for me. (tried both EarPods and headphones without integrated mic). If you could also try this out: - After reboot, don't change the volume or run any app that produces a sound. Try plugging in the headphones, check if they're working. - After another reboot, change the volume so you hear the pop sound. Then plug in the headphones, check if they're working. Why the switching doesn't work sometime is still a mystery to me...
  6. Clover patches are being used to patch AppleHDA binary with your codec-ID. No patched on the DummyHDA. Here are the two patches I have in config.plist for AppleHDA (hopefully should be the same as yours) <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Expect 2 matches</string> <key>Find</key> <data> hBnUEQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleHDA</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AAAAAA== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Expect 2 matches</string> <key>Find</key> <data> ixnUEQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleHDA</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> 4HYdEQ== </data> </dict> You could also try running kext utility once more and reboot. The headphone problem happen for me too, but not very often. Also if you wake the system with headphones plugged in, the audio works on headphones.
  7. thanks for the update. Besides the microphone bug, there are two other things that need fixing. - subwoofer (currently not working). - mute light (should turn on when volume is mute). I've tried a number of things for these, with no luck. I'm hoping eventually someone will come up with a solution for these.
  8. Yes, I've been facing this problem from the start. I've tried Apple EarPods and some other earphones with integrated mic. Even noticed the same problem with the kext you mentioned earlier. I'm not sure why that happens, but one guess would be power saving. (power saving is also the reason why the amber light went out few seconds after playback stopped, and it makes a little beep sound when it turns off.) With this bug, external mic is nothing more than useless. For me, once the input turns off on external mic, it wouldn't even turn on for internal mic after plugging out the earphones. If you plan to use EarPods for Skype, etc. I suggest you disable the external mic in pin-config verbs and delete its path from Platforms.xml. That way you'll always be using internal mic for input.
  9. Hey, thanks a lot for sharing the info I've managed to apply the fix to my kext. (attached to the post) This one has: - 4 working speakers - ambient noise reduction on internal mic - amber light permanently off (as you mentioned) - maximum volume fix for internal speakers (as you mentioned) Volume of internal speakers does not reset to maximum after plugging out the headphones. The volume icon changes properly when changing volume using keyboard. DummyHDA_IDT76e0.kext.zip
  10. So I was looking further to get the wi-fi off option. (btw, the chipset for my device is Ralink RT5370) Since I'm running mavericks, the latest driver from mediatek worked for me (USB (RT2870/ RT2770/ RT3X7X/ RT537X/ RT5572)) and it installed wirelessutility.app The app does have the 'Wi-Fi on/off" option, but isn't able to connect to network (don't know why, tried both wpa and wpa2 networks). So basically it was useless. Until I reinstalled the d-link preference pane, and surprisingly the preference pane could be used to connect to network and changes were being reflected in the app. The app doesn't have a dock icon and is accessible only from the menubar. I also stumbled upon bearextender drivers from one of the posts on tony's site (drivers link). The package had wirelessutility.app (and contents similar to medaitek package). Now this app has an advantage that it shows signal strength in the menubar icon. Rest is quite similar to Ralink wireless utility (not connecting to networks, at least for me) I'll keep looking for some app that does the job better. If you find one, do let me know. Meanwhile I customized the d-link package contents to look a little better. ---- Update ---- I used a different wi-fi router, and the bearextender app is connecting to it. But the ralink app isn't.
  11. Thanks got my Tenda W311M usb adapter working on Mavericks. Though I couldn't find an option to disconnect from network or turn wi-fi off. Have to unplug it.
  12. never mind, its fixed... finally turns out I had correct display override (same as windows), but that didn't sit well with OS X. So I corrected colour profile in EDID using FixEDID. Now proper colours are being displayed.
  13. Hi, I'm running 10.9.2 and facing some weird graphics problem. It appears that OS isn't displaying full range of colours. The gradient seem to posterise. Wherever I look at colour wheel, in Preview app, Quick Look or Text Edit, theres never a smooth gradient. Xee app however shows proper colours. The image shows same image opened in Preview (left) and Xee (right). Notice the colours around purple. Any suggestions? p.s. qe/ci might be working, coz I do have a translucent menu bar.
  14. Thanks for the info. I recently bought a usb bluetooth adapter that was recognized straight away, but there was no option to turn it off (Turn Bluetooth Off was greyed out.) So I duplicated a device in info.plist and added my vendorID and productID. Reinstalling the modified kext enabled the turn off option. This also enabled 'Allow Bluetooth device to wake this computer' option, which was previously disabled. There was one other problem, I was unable to transfer files from android to mac. Although I was able to send files to android. This was solved by: 1. Enabling Bluetooth Sharing 2. Replacing spaces in computer name with -
