  1. Hi all, I just realized that the Alienware 15 uses the same GPU as the new Retina 5K iMac, and both use a Haswell CPU... Would this be a possible Hackintosh Notebook?
  2. Updating to 10.10.1

Hi all, I have a fully functional hackintosh under 10.10, I was wondering what I should do to update to 10.10.1, do I just click update on the Mac App Store? Do I create another bootable USB? Cheers, Carl

What do you mean by the above? How do I go about manually editing the page editor? I manually copied the item 7 entry to the corresponding place in the clover config... still nothing... Thanks for all your help man... Really appreciate it! Here's my config right now: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zmbm87nqbbzhz10/config.plist?dl=0

  5. R9 290X Help for mavericks

Guys, I'm really confused after reading all these posts... I have an HDMI 2560x1080 display, what should I do to get full resolution? I've installed Yosemite and everything works except for the full resolution.
  6. Full Resolution on R9 290X

Hey guys, I've gotten most of my setup to work, but my R9 290X won't give me full resolution on my Ultrawide 21:9 display... I'm connected using HDMI and it gives me 1920x1080 which is not the full 2560x1080 my display can take. I fiddled with System Preferences and even SwitchResX and can't get it to work. I also noticed that HDMI audio doesn't work either. What can I do?
  7. Hi all, Thanks to some of the wonderful guides here, I've gotten most of my machine working. One of the things that aren't working is the WiFi module on my motherboard. If I disable the module in the BIOS, everything goes smoothly, but if I enable it, this appears: http://imgur.com/ylYix1I Additional Information: Motherboard: Rampage IV Black Edition CPU: i7-4930k GPU: R9 290X Operating System: OS X Yosemite Beta 3 installed with Clover I've installed the following kexts: AppleIntelE1000e FakeSMC GenericUSBXHCI VoodooTSCSync I've also installed the two SSDT's from rampagedev which are related to my motherboard and my CPU, removing or adding the SSDT's don't appear to affect the panic: SSDT.aml for my Rampage IV Black Edition with AMD Graphics: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p78osq4j5l668gb/SSDT.aml?dl=0 SSDT-1.aml for my 4930k stock CPU: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjg4ika9prakmey/SSDT-1.aml?dl=0 Please tell me if I can provide more information to help you help me!
  8. UEFI Clover Intall on RIVBE, 4930k, R9 270

Hi guys, I've disabled CSM (which is apparantly how you set MOBO to UEFI for ASUS Rampage MOBOs), I'm trying with the image that PimentelX86 gave me but it's stuck after: root device uuid is '(i'm to lazy to type it all)' ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and the cursor just blinks without proceeding... I've tried both -v cpus=1 npci=0x2000 and -v npci=0x2000 (the default one for the image that PimentelX86 gave me)
  9. Hi All! First time poster! Hope everyone can help!! I've been following Section 2 of http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-10-8-mountain-lion/ to install Clover using UEFI and currently I can't boot when I get to the Clover screen. I see the large button telling me to boot into the Installation Partition but when I press enter the screen just flashes. I've modified the options in "Options" to the bootflags that the website recommended but nothing helps. I'm not sure if the problem is because of my 4930k being an Ivy Bridge-E or because my R9 270 only works with fixes on Mavericks. If anyone can help it would be great! I'm happy to chat with anyone! Intel 4930k CPU Specifications http://ark.intel.com/products/77780 Rampage IV Black Edition Specifications http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_IV_BLACK_EDITION/#specifications Gigabyte R9 270 http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GDDR5-2GB-2xDVI-Graphics-GV-R927OC-2GD/dp/B00GWSYVUY Also... would it matter that I'm running the Clover pkg on my MacBook Pro? (of course I chose the USB as the destination but I was jus wondering)
