  1. Triple Boot HP 3000 PRO

Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD 3664h Bus Clock: 1066 megahertz BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. v1.10 06/09/2010 Core 2 Duo E7500 Processor (1) 2 GB 10600 HP Memory Module Western Digital 1 TB Hard Drive Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive Realtek ALC662 Audio Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) [NoDB] Nvidia GeForce 9300 GE Video Card On the 1 TB drive I have Winows 7 Professional 64 Bit On the 500 GB drive I have Mavericks and Mountain Lion I choose to boot mainly into Windows. To boot into OSX I press F9 to choose Boot Order. If I change the hard drive boot sequence in BIOs it will go straight to Chameleon and I can choose which OS I wish to use. I boot this way so that my Grandchildren can use the Windows without my having to explain what to do. No changes were made to BIOs settings. I used MYhack for both OSX installs. I had to fudge in order to get sound and working Ethernet. I won't divulge the method used. In Mavericks I was unable to access the Apps Store. I got the message "this device or computer is not verified". After researching how to fix this problem all attemps led to the dreaded KP. Is booting to a black screen a KP? Technically that's what happened. I was able to access the Apps Store in Mountain Lion so I decided to copy the Chameleon boot plist and paste it into Mavericks. I can now access the Apps Store with no KP. Thanks for letting Me share this. Thanks also to all who have worked so hard to allow me to do this SO EASILY!!!!!!!!!
  2. Dual Boot HP 3000 Pro SFF

I don't know why this worked but in this order I ran Kext Utility, Verify Disk, Verify Permissions, and Repair Permissions and the problem has been solved. Chock one up for the Stupid Guy?
  3. Dual Boot HP 3000 Pro SFF

It seems that not all is well. I also cannot shut down. When I hit shut down it reboots and I let it go to Windows 7 and then shut it down again. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this. Please know that I started out stupid and through hard work i've managed to stay that way
  4. Dual Boot HP 3000 Pro SFF

Processor Core 2 Duo 2.97 GHZ 2 GB DDR3 10600 RAM Geforce 9300 Video Card 1 TB Western Digital Hard Drive 320 GB Western Digital Hard Drive Realtec Gigabit Ethernet Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on terabyte drive. Mountain Lion on 320 GB drive. I used iAtkos ML for OSX. Am I allowed to say this??????? I was able to achieve a successful installation the first try. Actually I tried an install with MyHack that worked but it wouldn't shut down on its own so I went to plan B. Everything works great. Sound, Internet, Mail. I haven't tried to update my install yet. In order to boot to OSX I choose F9 for boot order and OSX boots fine.
  5. In the last two weeks I have done a successful installation. I have everything working well and was able to download Apps from the Apps Store. I tried to use the Apple Update and was unsuccessful. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do this or if it is needed. The only glitch that i have is the computer will boot from the hard drive but when I get to the password screen my USB keyboard and mouse don't work. The only way they work is to boot from the USB stick that I used to install Mountain Lion and choose my Mountain Lion hard drive. The weird part is if I boot into the install stick my USB keyboard and mouse are not recognized!!!!! I've tried to install USB kexts with no success. Does anyone know what i can do? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  6. Introduce yourself

My name is John. I'm really old. My birthday was nine days ago. It was number ?. I have recently succeeded in installing Mountain Lion on my HP DC7700 CMT. I has a Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHZ processor, two GB of PNY memory, and an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT video card. It is installed on a separate 160 GB hard drive that I swap out to switch between Windows XP and Mountain Lion. I used iATKOS ML2 to install it. Everything works well. I have sound, good graphics, and an Internet connection. I wish that I had written down the drivers that I chose but I chose them willy-nilly and it took about four tries to get it right!!!!! Thanks for letting me join.
