    SLI on hackintosh?

    So if I set up the bios so that I have both GPU's connected via an SLI bridge and connect both my monitors (I have two monitors) into the motherboard IO instead of directly into the graphics cards does anyone know what would happen?

    SLI on hackintosh?

    Hello everyone, I am in the process of upgrading my hackintosh which duel boots OS X and windows. I currently have one GTX 760 in my build and it simply isn't powerful enough when I game on windows. I was thinking about getting two GTX 970's and running them in SLI because apparently two 970's run much better than one 980 and for only a little more money. I have heard that OS X doesn't support SLI natively so I was wondering if anyone knew of any drivers that would fix this, or if it would even boot with two cards in SLI? I'm hoping that if there is no way to support SLI then the hackintosh will automatically only use one of the GPU's and windows will use SLI. Can someone please clear this up for me as I want to buy the GPU's when they go on sale just before christmas. Thanks.
  3. Dear InsanelyMac forum I have been all across the internet trying to find a solution for my simple coding problem. But everywhere I go I cannot find anything of use and no one will reply to my posts. I am a novice programmer and it would be greatly appreciated if someone could spare a few moments to either give me some sample code to fix my problem or point me to somewhere else that can help me. Heres the situation: I'm adding a simple feature in my ios xcode ios app that has a UISwitch. When the UISwitch is on an event is created (this part works fine). But when I turn the UISwitch off I cannot find a way to remove the event. Can someone please tell me what code I need to remove the event. - (IBAction)switchon:(id)sender { if (switchoutlet.on) { EKEventStore *store = [[EKEventStore alloc] init]; [store requestAccessToEntityType:EKEntityTypeEvent completion:^(BOOL granted, NSError *error) { if (!granted) { return; } EKEvent *event = [EKEvent eventWithEventStore:store]; event.title = @"Event A"; event.startDate = [NSDate dateWithTimeIntervalSince1970:1406948400]; //today event.endDate = [event.startDate dateByAddingTimeInterval:60*60]; //set 1 hour meeting [event setCalendar:[store defaultCalendarForNewEvents]]; NSError *err = nil; [store saveEvent:event span:EKSpanThisEvent commit:YES error:&err]; NSString *savedEventId = event.eventIdentifier; //this is so you can access this event later }]; } if (!switchoutlet.on) { //remove event } }
  4. Hello Forum I have just been building a new PC and after installing all of the parts and connecting all of the cables, when I start the computer the lights and fans turn on however, but nothing shows up on the screen and then after about 10 seconds the computer restarts and the same thing happens in an infinite loop. Hackintosh Project Please Help

    Thank you so much for your reply. You said the graphics card is not really that good compared to the rest of the parts, could you recommend something better that isn't too much more expensive?
  7. Hello forum Now I know this is probably not the best place for I post like this but I would really appreciate it if someone were to read my post and answer some of my questions. This is the parts list for the hackintosh that I intend to build. I will be running OS X Mavericks on it. Parts List: • Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core • Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H ATX LGA1150 • Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 • Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" SSD • Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM • EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB • TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 • Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower • Corsair 600W ATX12V My Questions 1. Are all these parts good? Do any have problems? Could any parts be swapped for better parts for around the same price? 2. Are all of these parts 100% compatible out of the box? 3. Is this all I need to build a computer? (aside from the mouse, keyboard and monitor) if I buy only these parts is this everything I need for the complete build? Will I need extra cooling? (case comes with 3 fans) 4. If there are any other concerns about this build of things that I should be aware of then can you please let me know below. Thankyou
