  1. FileVault 2

The AptioInputFix driver fixed my keyboard input and mouse issues, and I'm on x79, which, I believe is older than z87. FileVault is working perfectly now it seems.
  2. I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now, without any success. A couple days ago now, I noticed that my system had rebooted and my Clover entry said that it was trying to boot macOS from a hibernated state, which didn't work. Ultimately however, I got it to boot once I selected "Cancel hibernate wake," but once I did this, the graphics driver would not load, requiring me to reinstall the driver, and having to boot with both NvidiaWeb and nvda_drv=1, it seemed like it was finally back to normal. But it just kept freezing after a while, no matter what, it freezes after I login every time, until I restart it, only for it to do so again. I've tried wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS, along with the GPU driver, but it still freezes every single time after I log in to the system, I have no idea why it is or how to fix it. Other people seem to have no clue either. The fact that it is persisting after a reinstall is concerning. It was working completely fine before a few days ago. I'm lost. I'm looking for any suggestions as to how I can solve this. Are there any logs I should grab that could shed more light on the situation? EDIT 1: System seems fine when Nvidia web driver isn't loaded. Removed nvda_drv=1 from clover boot flags, NvidiaWeb variable is not working for some reason. Currently no hardware acceleration. Also fails to load driver with just nvda_drv flag. EDIT 2: Fixed GPU acceleration by re-running Clover installer, and selecting "Install all RC scripts on target volume." Now to see if it still freezes on me. Using just nvda_drv=1 flag. Edit 3: Still seems to freeze, just not as quickly. All signs point to an Nvidia web driver issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Edit 4: Have been using it for a significant amount of time without freezing, at this point, I'm assuming the window server has been intermittently dying, if it happens again, I'll attempt to remotely kill it via ssh and see if that fixes it. Edit 5: Tried restarting WindowServer. System UI is still frozen but ssh access is present. Edit 6: Fixed the issue by completely wiping the drive including the EFI partition, and configuring it slightly different, reinstalled everything. Haven't had a single issue since. Last reinstallation attempt was done via recovery partition, re-making the installation USB and using that seemed to have an impact.
  3. USB issues on Yosemite

Hey guys, I just recently wiped my Mavericks partition, installed Yosemite, and got everything pretty much working as it should, except the only thing not working correctly is my front and top USB 2 and 3 ports, my rear ones do work, though. I am using GenericUSBXHCI, FakeSMC, and some other kext that I can't recall the name of right now. Everything is functioning 100% as it should, except that. Any ideas? I am using the latest Clover with an iMac 13,2 system definition, I'm also using the latest GenericUSBXHCI directly from SourceForge. Thanks.
  4. DSDT help

Hey guys, I recently got Mavericks 10.9.5 up and running again, but I'm having issues with my system. I have no USB 2 (USB3 works, oddly), no audio, and wacky GPU issues (only 1 or 2 of my monitors will work out of 3). I have no idea what to do now, I'm out of my depth. Can someone please take a look at my extracted DSDT and my IOReg please, and help me get it edited? Here are my specs: Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme (X79, LGA2011 socket) GPUs: 2x EVGA GTX 780s RAM: 64GB G.Skill Ripjaws @1333MHz CPU: Intel Core i7 4960x (Ivy Bridge E) Any details needed? PM me. I am also using a MacPro6,1 SMBIOS, just for the record. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The forum won't allow me to upload my IOReg and DSDT so they are posted at the links below: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bi3f2lj8tnwsed5/Logan%E2%80%99s%20Mac%20Pro.ioreg?dl=0 (IOReg) https://www.dropbox.com/s/i5j0y755jbjr4th/System%20DSDT.aml?dl=0 (extracted DSDT that needs editing)
  5. GPU and Ethernet issues

Hey everyone, I am posting (again) to see if anyone can help me figure out the issues with my hackintosh. I am currently using the Clover bootloader (UEFI), and running the latest Yosemite beta, I'll post my specs below: CPU: Intel Core i7 4960x @ 3.6 GHz No OC RAM: 64 GB Quad-channel G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1333 MHz No OC GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 780 ACX Cooler edition Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Three Asus VN247 Monitors (two on one card, one on the other) Any other information needed, just ask. I'm having issues with ethernet and my displays, even if I tell the system to boot with "kext-dev-mode=1," it refuses to load the ethernet kext it seems unless I boot with injected kexts and then it works fine. My second issue that I've had ever since I installed OS X, my monitors do not work properly, most times only one works, if I'm lucky, 2/3 of them work. The third monitor NEVER works, I'm not sure why I'm having these issues, does anyone else know? Any ideas, please let me know. Thanks. EDIT: As for the graphics issue it's like the system thinks that both cards are in the same slot because it says that both cards are in PCI Slot 0. Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/p9QYQ08
  6. Hey guys, I've been running OS X on my system for a while now, I was previously running Mavericks, and then I updated it to Yosemite, and I can not get all of my monitors to work on 10.9 or 10.10, I can get at least one every time, if I'm lucky two will work, and the third one just flat out never works. I can't understand why and I've been dealing with this for months and I'm finally posting about it, any ideas? Also, it did this no matter whether I using the web or default driver. I am running two GTX 780s *NOT in SLI*, and I do know what the deal is, any help would be appreciated, On a side note, I use the clover bootloader and I when I use the kext-dev-mode=1 flag it is supposed to register all kexts and boot with them, boot if I try to boot without injected kexts, I have no network connection, otherwise, if I boot with injected kexts it works fine, but I always have the monitor issue and I do not know what the deal with that is. For reference, I'm using an Asus Rampage IV Extreme board, other than these two issues, the OS runs great. Any ideas?
  7. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

I've got the kext installed and it works when I have clover inject kexts, also in config.plist is set to inject kexts but it doesn't work unless I tell clover to inject kexts manually. Will the kextcache command still work?
  8. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Install went great but now I have no ethernet
  9. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Ok, good point, I'll do that. Done!
  10. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Ok, waiting for install to finish
  11. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Thanks! How is Yosemite so far? Any big bugs?
  12. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Hey Chris, it booted can I install over Mavericks or do I have to format SSD?
  13. Can't Install Yosemite with createinstallmedia

Hmm I don't know why, trying your installer now will let you know if it works
