  1. Dual boot Mac OS with my Windows - how?

ATI 4870 GFX Card is supported in Mavericks. Just change the AMD4800Controller.kext to include your GFX card’s vendor id and device id. Since you are just starting on hackintosh, use your friend’s mac to download OSX Mavericks from the App Store. Download myHack and create the USB Installer. If you are using separate hard disks for OS X and Windows, u just have to select the right hard disk at boot time to start OSX or windows.
  2. Do a google search on "lspci download mac"
  3. Screen Resolution is linked to identifying the Graphics Controller and loading the appropriate kext. To find the Graphics controller, open Terminal from Utilities and type lspci | grep VGA Modify the kext for the Graphics Controller to include the device id and vendor id of your graphics controller. Find device id and vendor id through Utilities -> System Information ->Graphics/Displays If this does not work, download Mavericks from the App Store and create USB Installer using myHack or any preferred method.
  4. You can use the USB Image Tool to write the usb image file to your USB disk. If you have purchased the maverick dvd from the ebay dealer, get the ISO of the dvd, convert the ISO to .DMG using disk utility and then use myHack to select the dmg file and write to the USB disk.
  5. There was no SMBios.plist file in /Extra. That was the reason for the error message "OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer", when trying to download OS X Mavericks from the App Store. Generated SMBios.plist through Chameleon Wizard and am now able to start the Mavericks download. Thanks.
  6. I have OS X 10.8.5 installed. I am trying to download OS X Mavericks. When I click the "UPGRADE - > INSTALL APP" button in App Store -> Updates section, I get a message "OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer". In the "About this Mac" window, the system is identified as iMac. Gigabyte MotherBoard - GA-H61M-S2P-R3
