  1. Growl slowdown issues

Okay, I fixed the problem After much trial and error, I found out that it was because my monitor had been plugged into the second DVI port, plugging it into the first one fixed the problem. How unusual, but I am glad to have this issue behind me now. Hope it helps anyone who might have the same problem.
  2. Growl slowdown issues

Hey guys, I am having a very strange problem, I am not sure when this problem began occurring, it might have been after update to 10.5.6 or maybe even earlier than that. Whenever a Growl notification is displayed, a noticeable input (mouse, keyboard) lag occurs. The notifications even stutter and stall when fading in and fading out. If more than one notification is displayed, then this probably becomes even more noticeable. Now, a friend with MacBook Pro has no such problem, so that eliminates Growl being the problem. One application that it's really irritating in is Adium, especially when typing a message and a notification appears. I have a nVidia GeForce 8800GS (384MB) enabled using Chameleon 2.0 and the DSDT ACPI patch. This problem occurs even when using EFI strings. Both Core Image and Quartz Extreme are enabled. I've even tried reinstalling on a separate drive with no noticeable difference. Sorry if it's a bit too long, I am trying to give as much detail as I can. However, I've been wondering whether anyone else has been experiencing this problem and if there are any solutions. Thanks a lot, Ondrej
  3. Here's a AppleAzaliaAudio.kext for ALC888 on GA-EP45-DS3L. It only gives you 2-channel Output, no Input/Digital/Microphone. Make sure to remove AppleHDA.kext, HDAEnabler.kext, and ALCinject.kext. This kext has given me the best sound on this board. I tried many AppleHDA solutions, some would work and some would cause choppy sound or low-quality sound. EDIT: I have now also included a AppleHDA.kext. This one works 100% on the GA-EP45-DS3L, it also has fixed bass for Line Output. Also for running this board in Non-AHCI mode (aka IDE Native Mode), check out this modified AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext @ http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=129222 AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.zip AppleHDA.zip
  4. Here's a modified AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext with support for all Intel ICHx controllers including the new ICH10. This means you no longer have to have the AHCI mode enabled in BIOS. Personally, I dislike the AHCI mode because of it's slow HDD detection (especially on the GA-EP45-DS3L board). To install this kext, place it inside the "PlugIns" folder in the IOATAFamily.kext. If you already have a AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext in your "PlugIns" folder, remove it. NOTE: Make sure to repair permissions and delete your Extensions.mkext file! Enjoy AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext.zip
  5. OSX86 on Intel P45 chipset?

Hey BiTRiP! Do you think you can make a modded BIOS for the P5QL-Pro? It's a P43 motherboard. Someone already made a modded bios, but for version 0410, but the latest version is 0601. I tried modding it myself, but failed Thanks a lot! P5QL_ASUS_PRO_0601.zip
  6. Hey Kabyl, Do you think you could make a modified BIOS for ECS 915G-A/915P-A. You can download the BIOS from here: http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Downloads...d=2&LanID=9 Thank you very much!
  7. System freezes on IP address assignment

I've had the same problem. Adding cpus=1 to boot.plist fixed the problem.
  8. No GUI boot... wtf?

Heh... Never mind. I found this question has been asked already, and the solution worked.
  9. No GUI boot... wtf?

Hey Guys, I am new here. I have this tiny problem, well I don't know if you could call it a problem. When I start my PC, and I begin to boot into OS X everything is showing in Text Mode, after few seconds I finally start seeing my desktop. Right now I am running OS X 10.4.6 (10.4.6 V3 Update). When I first installed 10.4.0.1 long ago, it had the whole boot-up process in GUI. Is this just me? or is there a way to enable it again? Thanks for your help!
