    Apple unveils "macOS Sierra"

I've gotten macOS 10.12 booted successfully on my machine (desktop) for awhile now Createinstallmedia is what I first tried and unfortunately I wasn't able to successfully inject any kexts (Therefore FakeSMC wasn't capable of loading) The kernel disallowed the driver object from loading as it got injected In log you would see "not entitled to link kext KEXT_IDENTIFIER" And if I continued the boot I got stuck at where y'all are getting stuck at (iCloud/FindMyDevice messages) This is what I did to get the installer booted: 1. Restore BaseSystem.dmg to a partition 2. Remove the Packages symlink from /System/Installation 3. Copy the real Packages folder over 4. Copy BaseSystem.dmg and BaseSystem.chunklist to root of partition (not sure this is necessary, but just to make sure I did it) 5. Copy any kexts needed such as FakeSMC to the root of the FS 6. Boot the installer in single user 7. Check status of SIP via "csrutil status" and disable SIP if needed via "csrutil disable" or "csrutil enable --without kext" 8. Reboot 9. Boot the installer into single user again 10. Modify the permissions on the kext (chmod -R 755 KEXT_NAME.kext && chown -R root:wheel KEXT_NAME.kext) 11. Load the kext manually (kextload KEXT_NAME.kext) 12. Exit single user NOTE: I didn't use a USB to install, I created an installer partition on one of my main drives And for me, I was able to get to the installer using that method. I think you can try putting the kexts into SLE of the installer after disabling SIP and that should work too, but just to make sure they loaded, I did that. After installation I copied the kexts over to the installation volume and I was able to boot fine.

If it isn't doing it's job then that's why you're stuck. But that's truly amazing progress to get that far in the bootup

It looks like DSMOS hasn't arrived. FakeSMC is either not loading or doing it's job
  7. This stinks for me because I am currently in the process of selling my amd machine for an Intel CPU because I have a board as of now. If this ever were to happen I'd be missing out

Oh how silly am I. Looked at a few docs, and yea, KextPatch in Clover doesn't actually patch the kext, it patches the kext in the kernel cache. That's why it was not working initally in beta because the kernel cache had to be worked out and all that. Smh I thought it was iTunes

Weird how it's working now. I think updating iTunes fixed it? I honestly can't say for sure

Okay it's working now. I had to update iTunes

Isn't the App Installer used in a Installer Media from the one provided by BaseSystem.dmg, which is inside the InstallESD.dmg? Not sure about -createinstallmedia but if you make your own usb i'm pretty sure. I feel like updating DP using delta update didn't update IOGraphics as it wasn't required for the update, so when it came to the public beta they provided a new IOGraphics kext, thus breaking the patch. Even tho that might far-fetched to say, this is the only thing I can think of.

Even tho it's the same as DP4 there is some stuff that has been changed to the os. Some people also wanna clean install Yosemite because updating from AppStore is not always the best implementation for hacks. If you wanna stay on DP4 more freedom to ya, however there are other reasons to update than to just be "on the latest OS".

You're good. Just let the thread know if it's working. I'll contact artur and poke to see what they have to say cuz I believe they made they patch?

Anyone tried clean installing the Public Beta and using the IOGraphicsFamily kext patch? How is it working for y'all?

The IOGraphics Kext patch in clover for splashed up screen before desktop is broken and doesn't work in Public Beta. It was working in DP4 Not sure if it was working because the binaries were the same for the previous DP's and it was changed in Public Release.
