  1. Hey Folks, I've been trying to follow this guide to do an install on an Asus S56C Ultrabook. I can't get the machine to get past the grey apple screen. When booting with -f -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No the system hangs here: Anyone have any ideas?
  2. Hey guys, First let me say thanks for the great community. I've been lurking off and on for a long time, but finally got the nerve to buy a new PC and try an OS X install on it. I'm using the "All-in-one guide to Vanilla OS X for beginners" (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/) I've followed the guide step by step up to part 3.1. I patched the kernel for MBR because I want to dual boot with Win7. I boot from the USB driver and I get stuck on the grey apple screen. Using -v to boot the system stops after the following message: After that nothing. Can someone help me out and point me in the right direction? EDIT: Machine details Core i5 3317U Ivy Bridge 24G SSD and 750GB HDD 6GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM Intel 4000 graphics Okay, so. I refreshed the org.chameleon.boot file on the USB and now I can get a bit further: Now back to nothing...
