  1. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Hmm but the current solution involves either sleep/rewake or dock/redock. What if I do not have a docking station......? If it's working after these steps you posted, there must be something that interferes with it in the first place. I have my first experience with Dell OSX with Latitude D430, and if i remembered correctly, i had to go in and delete the ps2controller.kext for some reason.....and then the trackpad/stick will work.....which i thought was very interesting..
  2. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

no updates on this? Everything seems to be working fine from this tutorial except: 1) Bluetooth 370 2) Wireless Intel - need to swap out to an older Dell 1390 or Dell 1510n 3) Keyboard / Touchpad!!! -< this is the killer..... need ALPS drivers
  3. Can i download InsanelyMac ?

Now will that endure me permanently to the admin's firewall ?
  4. Can i download InsanelyMac ?

honestly i would love to be able to do that as well. Of course obviously we do not want to know other users' names/nicknames/pwd as well but the information contained here is valuable indeed. I can honestly say unless you have direct access to the database, we can do it manually, save each thread (which is what I have been doing for important threads that i want to refer to like the guides/etc)
  5. I am trying to click on the bios pictures link but link is dead. Are the files still available? thanks
  6. 10.5.3 update on Dell notebooks with GMA 950

Hi there, Just to be a little clearer on the instructions - apologies I just thought I may have done it incorrectly. From the previous thread, I have mentioned that: 1) I used Kalyway 10.5.2, tried your Jas 10.5.3 and then Kalyway 10.5.3 on top of it. 2) After Kalyway 10.5.3, screen remains black although I have put my right corner in expose/spaces to Sleep Display IF I move the mouse to right corner. 3) My kernel that I use is the 9.2.0 speedstep kernel - does this matter ? I think in your thread you chose the 9.3 Modbin kernel right? Another question: 1) In expose/spaces, - I set to sleep display when i move the mouse to right top corner. -> is this all that is needed? as i can see some other options in expose/spaces to desktop/start screen saver, disable screensaver. From what I can gathered, you are suggesting the 10.5.3 kexts GMA950 seems to be doing something to this? And the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer is the same version as the tiger version 1.4.20 used all these while from 10.5.1 Iatkos/kalyway dvds ! I am going to try this again hehe
  7. Users with GMA 950 / X3100 Real Macs needed here

I tried to follow your steps in order to replicate this exactly. Here is what I did 1) Kalyway EFI MBR install with the supplied GMA 950 kexts (tiger's appleintelintegratedframebuffer) used Speedstepkernel. No patches, no audio, clean install 2) Turn on sleep display hot corners at right, i.e. when u move pointer to right corner top, display sleeps 3) Updated to 10.5.3 using Jas 10.5.3 4) Updated to 10.5.3 using Kalyway - installed on top of Jas 10.5.3 5) I did not select any kernel from the Kalyway's kernel package as I wanted to keep the 9.2 speedstepkernel 6) Machine rebooted fine, display is still black (laptop monitor), i move to right corner, still black 7) Connected to external display - all works fine. Not a single glitch If there is something wrong with what i tried to do to replica your steps exactly, pls let me know. Specs: Dell D430 1.2ghz C2D (1 core) BCM4318 wireless GMA950
  8. Users with GMA 950 / X3100 Real Macs needed here

the tutorial u quoted above works for some but not for us with bloody Dell
  9. 10.5.3 Available as an update!

i still bear hope for GMA950 fix for Dell Laptops - sigh
  10. Users with GMA 950 / X3100 Real Macs needed here

tried removing GMA950 related files and the AppleIntelIntegratedBuffer.kext ?
  11. Users with GMA 950 / X3100 Real Macs needed here

looks like Dell users with GMA950 (not x3100) gotta live with artifacts or go back to Tiger! I have tried all solutions suggested here and no go with GMA950
  12. Hi there! First of all, thanks for the disc .... A very good install disc overall. Very complete and users have the options to test a lot of options. However I would like to point (if I am correct, I apologise), this is about the options for GMA950 kexts / fix. This is especially true for especially Dell notebooks. I have seen people with Acer/Compaq/Toshiba/etc - all having success with the fix but no one confirmed success for GMA950 on laptops. Might be best to put a description in there for users choosing GMA950 (...eg this is not applicable for dell) or something.
  13. ZDNet's Latest OSX86 Review

wouldn't this be bad for publicity to the world? hehhee.... hope Apple is not wanting to shut down any of these though But then again, I know many who have tried these osx86 and went out to buy equivalent macs ! including myself haaha
  14. iATKOS v2.0i

lol oh well, gotta appreciate how uphuck/eskurza is doing to fix this.... but I am sure quite a lot of people have used up a lot of ratios on the demon.....at least registered members lol....not the leechers!
  15. iATKOS v2.0i
