    Black Screen

THANKS, I was in a similar situation and these flags saved my bacon. Will I only need to do them once?
  2. same problem here, no solutions yet even up to 10.5.2

    Webcam: Microsoft NX600 and VX7000

I have the NX6000 which is supposed to work (it is UVC compliant), and it works in Photo Booth but not in iChat. iChat keeps saying that the webcam "is in use by another application". I haven't done a lot of digging to figure out if this can be resolved.
  4. Ok, so I mistakenly made the update (non EFI) which hosed my kernel. I rolled back to a working kernel and everything seems fine. What is the disadvantage of not rolling back my System.kext?

    Security Update 2008

I would recommend keeping a copy of your working kernel as "mach_kernel.orig" in the root directory for cases when this happens. When my system didn't boot up, I just tried again, pressed F8, and typed "mach_kernel.orig" and was back in business.
  6. Never mind, I figured it out. I missed that there was another "Command & Conquer 3" directory inside. The OP's directory is correct.
  7. My Command and Conquer 3.app does not have a "transgaming" directory inside "Resources". I even tried creating the path you mentioned here, and still asks for DVD. Any ideas?
  8. Great! But what is different from the "Full Install Guide GA P35-DS3P" thread with 285 replies? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=75863

    iMovie 08 Crash (Leopard 10.5.1)

Did you update iMovie? Pre-update mine always crashed too.

    [Unsolved] Upgrade Kernel to 9.2

Just to add my 2 cents, I upgraded to the 9.2 kernel found on IRC, and it worked fine except I lost sleep capabilities (machine turned off but when trying to turn back on, it went into an infinite ON/OFF loop).

    Full Install Guide GA P35-DS3P

Hi folks, I have been subscribed to this guide since the beginning, and I had a working 10.5.0 installation using the flat image method. I then upgraded to 10.5.2 using the Kalyway safe update (which does not replace important kexts) and the new 9.2 speedstep kernel, but now my Sleep functionality is lost. When I select "Sleep", the computer turns off but when I turn it back on, the power goes into a loop of ON for 3 seconds, OFF for 3 seconds, ON for 3 seconds, OFF, etc. Any idea if this is a .kext issue or a kernel issue? EDIT: I answered my own question by trying to boot with my old 10.5.0 kernel, and Sleep works fine, so it is apparently a kernel issue.

    RTL8139 doesn't work...

This same issue happens with the Gigabyte P35-DS3 boards that have an RTL8139 NIC inside it. The solution for us is to boot into Windows (XP or Vista), go to the Properties for your network card, select "Advanced", and there is a setting that is something like ""Wake on LAN after shutdown" that needs to be Enabled.

    P35-DS3P Sleep & EFI

Most of us have no problems with Sleep mode, but shutdown/restart do not always work. I don't think anybody knows what the real problem is. However, I am not using EFI.
  15. Did you ever get it sorted out? I'm thinking about using this method but am afraid to lose my perfectly working 10.5.0 install.
