  1. Have found a few posts by LeMaurien19 (thanks to you and all the others here for your works)about adding an antenna to the Combo card and have found a few such items on ebay. Thanks all.
  2. Will be adding a DW 1510 Wifi Card to a Mini 311. I've read posts that suggest to use the existing antennas for the new half-height card, but can't find any info on the old combo card needing an antenna for bluetooth. Is an extra antenna necessary for the combo card (using it only for bluetooth) when moving it to the neighboring slot? Will be using it for a bluetooth mouse. If yes, can someone recommend an aftermarket antenna that will fit without a teardown? Thanks.
  3. 10.5.6 and GeForce FX5500

Hrmmm. I can simply click and rename. I did try to install the core 10.5.5 package first by double clicking and following the installer prompts, which didn't work as described previously. iAtkos v7, admin here too. I used carboncopy to move everything to a less noisy drive before the renames. Perhaps that might affect change permissions? Sorry Kolden, I don't what else could keep you from renaming that folder.

  5. 10.5.6 and GeForce FX5500

Amit, thanks for catching the directory error. Fixed original post. more details below. thanks to sanya in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1009751 P4 Celery on 865G MB, iAtkos v7, Fx5200. If you have installed CoreGraphics 10.5.5 to fix the corruption issue, it may not have installed correctly. check the dates on the files in folder: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ CoreGraphics.framework/Versions if they aren't July 2008 versions, and instead are March 2009, then you'll need to manually copy the /Versions folder of the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 pkg into the above directory. Use pacifist to un-archive the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 pkg and save it. then rename /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ CoreGraphics.framework/Versions to /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ CoreGraphics.framework/Versions.old then copy the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 /Versions folder into /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ CoreGraphics.framework/ Rebooted. No more corruption. Let me know if this works for you.
  6. 10.5.6 and GeForce FX5500

Corruption fix (solved) here. [edited to correct directory path] thanks to sanya in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1009751 10.5.7 and Fx5200. Now working with QE/CI/QGL and NO corruption. Used all the previous methods here too. The Coregraphics pkg would go through the motions, but did NOT install the older files. Found that instead of installing the 10.5.5 Coregraphics, I had to manually copy the Versions folder from the Core pkg. Used pacifist to unarchive the pkg, renamed the Versions folder in /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CoreGraphics.framework/Versions to /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CoreGraphics.framework/Versions.old then copied the pacifist unarc'd /Versions folder to that directory. Rebooted, no more corruption. Hope this helps.
  7. My LCD has a Two inputs(one analog(OSX)- one digital(PC)) with NO simple button for switching between the two(takes 7 button pushes to switch inputs) However, blanking ONE display Input with the proper software causes the LCD to switch to the other input(works back and forth) Enter solutions: OSX http://linestreet.googlepages.com/sleepdisplaywidget "sleep display" Widget or App to turn off the display via a click and PC http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm "powerstrip" App w/ hotkey to turn off display. Enjoy!
