  1. Unfortunately, I made this guide way before Chameleon debuted and I've never used it so I can't really help you there but my guess would be trial and error to see which one boots your Vista install.
  2. Asus G1S / G2S Keyboard Layout French

  3. Hello to everyone, After looking around the board I had a hard time finding a good guide to fix the HFS+ partition error you get from reinstalling Leopard or Vista, so here's all the informations I collected. There's 3 ways I found you can fix this error : Method 1) If you have Vista installed on Partition 1 and Leopard on Partition 2, all you have to do to fix the HFS+ partition error is to install EasyBCD on Vista and go to the "Diagnostics Center" tab and check "Repair OS X "HFS+ Partition Error" and click "Attemp Recovery". See a screenshot here. It's that easy... You can download EasyBCD here. Method 2) If you have Leopard installed on Partition 1 and Vista on Partition 2, there are to fix available : a.) The quick and painless one: All you have to do is re-flag the OS X partition as active. Grab your Leopard install DVD and boot it with the -s flag to login in user mode. From there type the following: fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 flag 1 quit Now you can reboot and you shouldn't get anymore HFS+ partition error. However, this will only work if your MBR wasn't formatted by Vista or any other software like EasyBCD, GParted, etc... If it doesn't work you will have to go to the next step. b.) The hard and long one: You should try this step only if the one above did not work. This step will reset your MBR to default settings for OS X but will trash your Vista dual boot so you will have to restore it as well. To do so type the following: fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0 Type yes at the warning and re-flag the OS X partition by doing the step a.) above. You're now set, you should not be getting anymore HFS+ partition error. If you wish to restore your dual boot follow this guide. There you go !
French___G1S.keylayout.zip
  5. Issues with videos playback

Just to inform, I fixed this issue by re-installing Leopard and with the new NVInstaller v4 drivers everything is working fine. I think it was both my speedstep kernel and the NVIDIA drivers not working well.
  6. [Solved] Asus G1S - So close, yet so far

Hello! Have you tried formatting your partition like detailed in my guide for dual boot available here? It's important to prepare your partition the right way before attempting to install. I'm not sure formatting to FAT32 is enough.
  7. Issues with videos playback

Yes I've tried it and I get the same results, it's even worse I get a ffmpeg error saying the framerate was more than 5 frame behind. It really seems to me more and more like my video card is not doing it job correctly.
  8. New patch for iATKOS v1.0ir2

Hi again ! What do you mean by "only use the BadBios" Patch? I was also wondering if now that I 've installed and everything is working fine, I could try restoring the vanilla ACPI and APIC kexts?
  9. Issues with videos playback

Yes I do, my card is detected correctly, I have QE/CI enable, 1680x1050 resolution, ram is detected but my interface seems sluggish from time to time, especially if I tried to move my finder window clickly around the desktop.
  10. need driver for Dell xps 1530 notebook

Did you check out the big Dell thread available here?
  11. Issues with videos playback

Could it be my graphic card? It seems I've got performance issues with it...
  12. I compared with my iMac and it seems that my Graphic Card could be the problem. My iMac has an ATI HD2400 with 128MB and is doing much better than my Geforce 8600M 256MB. I'm currently using the NVInject installer v33, should I try using another package or are there any tweaks I could do to improve performance?
  13. Have you tried the NVInstallerV.33 package? It works for my Geforce 8600M GT 256mb
  14. Issues with videos playback

I've got all the right codecs installed via the Niceplayer guide so I know it's not a codec problem...
  15. Hello, Posting to ask some help with my Hackintosh. I've tried playing some HD 720p videos on my Leopard and I've got image stuttering all over the place, I can't playback a single vdeo correctly. My setup is as follow: iATKOSv1.0r2+BadBios patch updated with kalyway 10.5.2 combo update with Netkas 9.2 kernel Speedstep/Shutdown fix. I also have the latest Nvinject 2.1 drivers installed. My rig is an Asus G1S, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz with 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM and a Geforce 8600GT 256MB. Does anyone have any idea that could be causing these issues? Thanks !
