    Random freezing Mojave

I've read some comments about gpuRestart, looks like people that have that issue can access system via SSH after freeze. My machine cames to a complete halt. I don't see anything helpful in log file. I managed to fix "bios reset after restart" by patching AppleRTC in Clover, but freezing is unfortunately still there
  2. Hi there, I am experiencing random freezing in Mojave. Its completely random, sometimes while no app is open, sometimes while browsing, sometimes while something else is open. I've had Sierra running normally without any issues on the same machine with NVidia GPU. Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 (rev.1.0) Intel i7 2600K RX580 8GB SSD Samsung 850 PRO This is legacy BIOS system, motherboard does not support UEFI and its Sandy Bridge MB without IGPU support. I attached results from RunMe.app. I'm using only the following kexts: AppleALC.kext FakeSMC.kext Lilu.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext Sometimes machine works normally for a day or two, sometimes it freezes multiple times a day. It behaves very strange, when it freezes I usually press reset button. For some reason its not responding immediately, it takes about 5s and then just turns off instead of reset. I have to press power button to turn it back on, and when it turns on. I can't move cursor when it freezes and disk activity led on the case also stops and I can't login using SSH, so its a complete halt. I tried suggestions to move GPU to the different PCI-e slot and setting fixed RAM multiplier, but that didn't change anything. Send me iMac.zip

    XFX RX580 black screen issue

I've managed to get it running with acceleration! I flashed my card with Sapphire Pulse RX580 8GB bios, only first two display ports work in Hackintosh, but I don't need anything else. I have few small issues. 1. Hibernate does not work, if it goes to hibernate, monitor does not power when it turns back on. 2. I have P-State error in the log, I checked enable P and C states but that didn't solve this. 3. I have those pink line glitches when switching modes

    XFX RX580 black screen issue

I've managed to boot into OS X, but in Software mode only, gpu appears as: "AMD Radeon RX 580 6 MB": AMD Radeon RX 580: Chipset Model: AMD Radeon RX 580 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 6 MB Vendor: AMD (0x1002) Device ID: 0x67df Revision ID: 0x00e7 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.3180 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 (Widescreen Super eXtended Graphics Array Plus) UI Looks like: 1680 x 1050 Framebuffer Depth: 24-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Automatically Adjust Brightness: No I have used Mojave patcher: http://dosdude1.com/mojave/ and selected option iMac12.2, and got it running. Unfortunately no hardware acceleration, so its bit more sluggish than it should be. Not sure if I can do something about it.

    XFX RX580 black screen issue

Hi there, my configuration is the following: Sandy Bridge Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 (rev 1.0). Intel 2600K XFX RX580 I bought a new GPU, heard it was supported with egpu and works out of the box with Hackintosh. I'm getting black screen right after boot sequence and when it is supposed to change mode. I tried DVI and HDMI ports, the same issue on both, didn't have a chance to try display port. Do you have any suggestions. Here is my config attached. I have following kexts in other folder: AppleALC.kext CPUFriend.kext FakeSMC.kext Lilu.kext WhateverGreen.kext Here is a slo-mo video of my boot process (hope its readable): config.plist
  7. Thanks for this. With nv_disable I am able to login. Have you managed to setup GPU after that?

    Lion GM Facetime error

Same problem with facetime on my Sandy bridge hack with retail Lion. I found that few people say that Facetime works for them. Is that true? I did an update keeping my old settings, maybe that created the problem?
  9. I tried, but no success ;( Only Windows visible in the boot menu.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I bought Macdrive, I mentioned I have it installed on Windows partition. I will try your suggeston. Chameleon boots just fine, but has no MacOSX in the list. This is diskutil list of my configuration: ~bash-3.2$ diskutil list /dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: FDisk_partition_scheme *232.9 GB disk0 1: Windows_NTFS 232.9 GB disk0s1 /dev/disk1 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *149.0 GB disk1 1: Apple_HFS MacOSX 149.0 GB disk1s1 I have two more drives connected but I think they are not important, my default boot device is second HDD which contains Snow Leopard with Chameleon. This is Chameleon boot log: boot0: GPT boot0: HFS+ boot0: booting boot0: done_ I add MacOSX to Windows7 boot menu using easyBCD, when I choose MacOS from Windows boot menu it shows: Try (hd0,0): non-MS: skip Try (hd0,1): invalid or null Try (hd0,2): invalid or null Try (hd0,3): invalid or null Try (hd1,0): Extended: Try (hd1,1): invalid or null Try (hd1,2): invalid or null Try (hd1,3): invalid or null Try (hd1,4): NTFS5: No ang0 Try (hd1,5): Extended: Try (hd1,5): NTFS5: No ang0
  11. Chameleon boots normally from Mac partition, but I can see only Windows in Chameleon boot menu, so obiviously my partition is active. My question is how Chameleon detects Mac OS X installation? My partition is bootable and has Chameleon bootloader, why Chameleon can't detect Mac OS X partition on the same disk? Am I missing something?

    partition problem

You can't access Mac HFS+ partition under Windows by default. You have to install HFS+ driver. Comercial applications with read/write access are Mediafour Macdrive and Paragon HFS+ for Windows. There is Readonly driver included with Bootcamp on retail Snow Leopard install DVD. You can also try freeware utility HFSExplorer.
  13. Hi, I hope someone can help. I have dual HDD configuration, one HDD is Windows7 NTFS, the other one is Snow Leopard HFS+(Journaled). I use Chameleon as a primary boot loader, it is installed on Mac partition. The system wored perfectly for a few months, but it started behaving strangely yesterday and I did a system Reset. After that MacOSX was no longer visible in Chameleon boot menu. I booted immediately using MacOS X install DVD, and the partition was not visible in disk utility. I did a reboot, started Windows, and did partition table rebuild using Testdisk. Testdisk found an error in my partition GPT table and fixed it. Now my HFS+ partition became visible again in Disk Manager, when booting using install DVD. But there is no MacOSX icon in Chameleon menu, only Windows7 is visible. I can access the partition using MacDrive without a problem. I did check drive and drive appears to be OK. Can anyone suggest anything, I'm really confused. Chameleon is on the same partition as Mac and it boots fine, but can't see MacOSX installation on the same partition. Partition is Active, bootable, and everything seems to be there, no lost files. How Chameleon finds MacOSX installation? Do you have any suggestion how to fix this problem? How can I make my Snow Leopard visible again in the boot menu?
  14. This guide is confusing. Please write exact Acer One model in the post title.
