  1. Hm, that's uncool. Maybe you can find some help in those threads: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284684-icloudfacetimeappstore-login-errors/ and http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ Maybe it's also an good idea to start a new thread about this issue in the 10.6 Post-Installation section .
  2. Try to link the smbios.plist to the org.chameleon.boot.plist. You can do that by checking "SMbios.plist" in the "org.chameleon.Boot"-editor and search for the smbios.plist by hitting the "+"-symbol and save it then reboot. (Removed the last part of my answer as you are still on 10.6 and don't have a Mavericks-installer, sorry :-P ) And another edit: Try to use one of the premade SMbios.plist that you can choose in the editor. As far as I know the most common problem for this issue is that the App-store can't verify your PC as an official Mac. Using one of the pre-mades will ensure that you have an serial-number for your Hackintosh, etc...
  3. I solved it by adding "EthernetBuiltIn" in my boot-file. I used "Chameleon Wizard" to edit the boot-file. There is an extra option to add that string to the boot-file. After a restart I was able to download Apps and Mavericks from the App Store. And make sure that your smbios.plist is set up too. You can edit it too with Chameleon Wizard. I choosed an iMac that matches my PC-configuration. There shoulld be one configuration with an E8400 CPU if I remember correctly. That should match you setup pretty well.
  4. I didn't installed any sound-kext since I'm using the integrated USB-soundcard in my Logitech G510 keyboard. That device works right out of the box without any additional kext's .
  5. Finally got it working . Turned out that I missed to set BIOS-setting to "MAX CPUID VALUE LIMIT [DISABLED]"... So now it's running nice and smooth. Graphics, sounds, ethernet working great and stable! Just one thing is a bit annoying... Starting apps took a while. Not very long, but longer than it took at 10.6. But except of that, I'm very happy! Thanks again for this guide .
  6. Thanks for your help guys . I tried it with an "clean" boot-disk (no additional files added) and another boot-disk with some files added that I got from my osX86 ModCD including "FakeSMC.kext" and some other kext's. Used them because they working great with an 10.6 installation - everything works right out of the box without need to install other kext, etc... So I thought it might be a good choice to use them on the boot-disk too . But they are maybe not compatible anymore with 10.9..? So I will try to use the files you guys linked here and will let you know if that worked for me .
  7. Hey, thanks for your guide! Unfortunately I'm not able to get it running as the installation always aborts. I attached two screenshots that are hopefully helpful to see what could cause this error. Some infos about my setup: Intel Core2Duo E8400 ASUS P5Q motherboard (not a Deluxe or -E or something else, just a simple P5Q) 4GB DDR2 @ 1066 MHz Club 3D ATi HD4870 / 512 MB PLEXTOR 64 GB SSD 1,5 TB WesternDigital HDD Realtek 1839 familiy PCI-E ethernet-card LG BluRay drive Thank you very much for your help .
  8. Great man, thank you so much! Got it working, had to add the EthernetBuiltIn-string to the boot.plist . So let's see if I'm able to update it to Mavericks! Thank you so much for your help! Edit: Mavericks download aborts after a few minutes. App store is telling me that I should check my internet-connection. Is it because anybody is loading Mavericks atm or is it an issue with my connect?
  9. (Creating a new answer instead of edit my old post to make sure it will be noticed :-P ) Thanks to you guys I was able to install and run 10.6 with the ModCD without any issues . Then I wanted to download 10.9 but I wasnt able to log in into the App-store. So I followed a random Youtube-video to fix it, but it destroyed the installation :-P . So have to reinstall OS X and see if I can fix that App-store problem! Thanks again for your help .
  10. Thanks for your help guys . I will try it with -x and -s like you mentioned and will get a new boot-cd. I don't really need 10.6 and would like to start wirh a newer version but I was under the impression that I need 10.6 to upgrade it until the newest version or at least need OS X to create a boot-medium from the MacAppStore purchase. Or art there still retail DVDs available (would be great since USB-booting doesn't works very well with my mainboard)?. And thanks for the link to the P5Q-tutorial. That is the one I was using back in the days when I first tried to install 10.6 on my PC and it worked for me . I will let you know if I was able to install 10.6! Thanks again .
  11. Hello partypeople! I tried to install 10.6 retail on my PC. My PC got the following hardware: Intel Core2Duo E8400 ASUS P5Q motherboard 4GB DDR2 @ 1066 MHz Club 3D ATi HD4870 / 512 MB PLEXTOR 64 GB SSD 1,5 TB WesternDigital HDD Realtek 1839 familiy PCI-E ethernet-card LG BluRay drive I use the latest ##### version to boot up the 10.6 MacOS retail disk (I just noticed that software from tonysmac isn't supported here, so I'm not sure if I can get help here anyway? ). I start the installtion with the following commands "-v -graphicsenabler=no -pcirootuid=0". When the installation starts I can see all the nice stuff is going on. It takes a while and I can see that the setup loads my hardware, finds all my HDD-drives, etc... At some point the installation-log scrolls super-fast and I can't really see whats going on there. I think the last message it shows is something with NTSF, but I'm really not sure, as it vanish very fast. And then the installation suddenly stops with some artifacts as you can see on my screenshot. Do you guys know what can cause this issue? Or do you need more informations? If so, is it possible to get a log-file with the error-messages somewhere or is it deleted once I reset my PC? I can remember, that I got 10.6 SL running on the same PC a while ago. So I'm pretty sure it will work, but I just can't recall how I did it . Thank you for your time .
