Oh true, I forgot I could do that. I still wonder what's wrong though, I'm not sure exactly what value should have gone in there to set the macOS volume to be default... Edit: Actually, the last used volume option doesn't seem to stick booting to macOS if change the value to boot into Windows. Ideally I should be able to chose the disk by name or UUID or other value. Any other ideas? Edit 2: It looks like I found the culprit. The boot entry that Clover installed in the NVRAM boot options was pointing to the wrong bootloader. Once I removed that entry, using the full copy-pasted value of HD(2,GPT,A05A9816-69B8-4A81-A144-A918E58508E1,0x64028,0x746A2D60) worked for me.

Unfortunately, I can't since I am using EMUVariableUEFI since my mobo doesn't support native nvram

    [Success] Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H

Sorry guys, it seems that it got removed during one of my edits. I updated my original post with it. (http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-desktop-guides/112418-guide-installing-z68x-ud3h-i7-2600k-hd300.html if it gets removed again.) Which USB kext are you using? The GenericUSBXHCI? And does it only happen with USB3? I don't think I have tried transferring a file that large yet... :/

Hmm I did a quick search on this topic and I do not think I have ever run into this problem. My card seems to idle correctly out of the box so I am not sure.
  5. [success] Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H I was able to update my installation without a hitch using Stork’s guide! I am a happy camper. Build Details: Intel i5 Ivy Bridge 3570k EVGA Nvidia GTX480 Clover r2236 (darkwake=0 -gux_nosleep) Kexts: GenericUSBXHCI 1.2.6: All USB 3.0 ports appear to be working. No USB 3.0 devices to test with though. VoodooHDA 2.8.4: All inputs appear to be working the way they did in 10.8.5. Did not test HDMI. ALXEthernet 1.0.2: Appears to be working. Works: AppStore FindMyMac iMessage Doesn’t work: iMessage Will update if I find anything odd or am able to fix iMessage. Update: Just had to change my password for some reason to get iMessage working. Everything seems great now!
  6. I currently have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H working with Clover UEFI boot on Mac OS X 10.8.4. It seems that most functions are working (audio, USB 3, etc) but when the computer wakes from sleep, all USB devices are disconnected for about 30 seconds. After that it reconnects by itslef without issue and everything works normally. The console has no messages that seem intersting with the exception of "kernel[0]: RestoreControllerStateFromSleep: xHC Restore Error". I do have the GenericUSBXHCI kext installed to have USB 3 working. All of Clover's USB 3 flags are off (even with them on, it does not help) and the both of the HCI handoff features in the BIOS are on (but even with them off, it does not help). I do not have a DSDT installed. Any ideas on where to go with this issue? Edit: On closer inspection there are also "kernel[0]: com.apple.usbmuxd[53]: DeviceRequestAsync failed: 0xe00002c0" and "kernel[0]: IOUSBHIDDriver: waitForPMDriverCall timeout" messages. Edit 2: Upon research of the newer console messages, "-gux_nosleep" fixes the issue but I can no longer wake using the keyboard (refer to this forum post). I guess this is a good enough tradeoff for me unless anyone has any ideas with how to get wake to work without it!
