  1. yea I am updated to 10.6.4. I signed up for apple developer and installed the iphone sdk also. No go. Here is the message I get when plugging in my ipod touch: Aug 23 13:07:28 kevins-imac com.apple.usbmuxd[25]: DeviceRequestAsync failed: 0xe00002c2 Aug 23 13:07:28 kevins-imac com.apple.usbmuxd[25]: MuxDeviceGetPreferredConfigurationAsync failed: 0xe00002c2 Aug 23 13:07:57 kevins-imac com.apple.usbmuxd[25]: DeviceRequestAsync failed: 0xe00002c2 Aug 23 13:07:57 kevins-imac com.apple.usbmuxd[25]: MuxDeviceGetPreferredConfigurationAsync failed: 0xe00002c2 I followed the guide to delete itunes and re-install from apple's knowledgebase but that didn't help either. I also see numerous posts of iphones, ipod touches not being detected like mine on apples forums but see no real solution.
  2. I'm having problems with my ipod touch after updating. All other usb items work, except ipod touch isn't recognized. Could this be the same issue? If so, I don't see the update you are talking about. Did it show up in software update? Thanks for any info.

    Modified boot-132 Bootloader

Anyone successful on getting audio kexts to load? I have a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 rev 2.0. I add my ALCinject.kext and AppleHDA.kext from my working installation, delete those kexts from the system. Then boot using the new boot-123 bootloader cd I made, but audio doesn't work. Thanks for any help.

Sabr, I have the same mobo as you. What are the kexts you needed to add to make the install work? Was it just the JMicronATA.kext? Or did you need others for sound and network and such. Thanks for any info.
  6. Yea, I was referring to that link. I think it should still be the same using kalyway update, but can't say for sure since I didn't use that method.
  7. ArkaPro, this is all you have to do. First, install the 10.5.3 update following netkas instructions. Then follow these instructions from Bronya in Terminal. 1. sudo -s [password] 2. nano /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeonX1000.kext/Contents/Info.plist 3. edit device ID 7244 4. chown -R 0:0 /system/library/extensions 5. chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions 6. rm /system/library/extensions.mkext 7. rm /system/library/extensions.kextcache NB. I got a file not found error. I kinda knew there was no kextcache. 8. kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions No need to download any files from Bronya's post. Hope this helps.
  8. Worked like a charm. Thanks alot everyone for helping!
  9. So you dowloaded those drivers? Or just installed the 10.5.3 update, and added your dev id, and then did: sudo -s also enter the password root! chown -R 0:0 /system/library/extensions chmod -R 755 /system/library/extensions rm /system/library/extensions.mkext rm /system/library/extensions.kextcache kextcache -k -z /system/library/extensions ? Thanks for any help.
  10. So there will be a 10.5.3 installer released? Thanks for any info.
  11. Maybe I'll wait a bit until there is an update from Jccool for 10.5.3.
  12. anyone update to 10.5.3 yet? Will it break my Sapphire X1950XT(id7244) qe/ci res support?
  13. I have everything working, network, graphics card, sound, etc... My problem is, I randomly get the dreaded Reboot sreen "hold power button down for a few seconds, or press reset button". Seems like when I'm doing a couple things at once like watching a video with VLC and running Parallels. Is there a log file somewhere that might shed some hint of what's causing the crash? I came across someone mentioning a system.log file, but searched for it and didn't find it. Thanks for any help. Running 10.5.2 with vanilla kernel. Install Kalyway 10.5.1 then Kalyway combo update then Kalyway Kernel update.

I've successfully installed it twice. Trying to get my selections right. Only thing is, I've tried at least 10 times and now I seem to be getting the lock-up at 2 minute point where it just freezes. I've tried burning with different drives, speeds, seems to not be the media. I found on the wiki forum that try and re-install over the installation and it should pick up where it left off and install fine, but doesn't work for me. Any suggestions? I've tried three times installing it in a row without going to disk utility and doing anything to the partition, and doesn't finish. Thanks.

I've installed this, selecting x19x0 drivers for my ati raedon 1950 card. (thinking this is a graphic driver problem). Problem I have is it's black behind the apple logo in upper bar, plus all the text boxes (like when you right click on a file, or click on apple logo, or go, etc) are all black. I got myself to the about mac, and graphic display and it sees my card ok, with full support for everything. Anyone ever experience anything like this? I've searched the forums for "black box" not finding anything like what is happening to me. Or can someone point me in the right direction with a correct search term would be. Thanks alot.
