  1. I havent really checked that.. I usually boot with verbose. Im gonna look at that tonight
  2. Heya Guys, I somehow have a problem getting my EVGA GTX 980 Classified to work propperly with my hackintosh. I've tried several versions of yosemite 10.10.0 10.10.2 and 10.10.3, but all end up with the same problem. 1. I install the Official Nvidia Drivers for mac. 2. reboot the system to normal mode with nvda_drv=1 everything is working fine. 3. second reboot. and 4. system only boots fine in safe mode and doesnt continue to normal mode with qe/ci etc. are there more people with this particular problem My complete rig: Mobo: Intel Desktopboard DX79TO CPU: Intel i7-3820K Memory: 4x8GB G-Skill 1600Mhz HDD: Seagate Barracuda ES 500GB 7200RPM (old test drive) GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 980 Classified. SMBios: MacPro5,1 (Mid 2010) I can get the other things to work, but i have the feeling that the GPU is giving me the problems to continue to normal boot
  3. anyone? ive tried so many things and it has worked on mountain lion ... i want to get it working with mavericks i see others do that as well :$

AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Can someone help me with my Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 on Mavericks 10.9.5 on a Intel Desktopboard DX79TO based system... Safemode recorgnises my card as ATI Radeon HD 7*** 6144MB. but booting without safe mode gets me stuck at "ATHR: Unknown locale: 30" right before loading the GUI
  5. Funny Jah, .... He's right, you know whats even funnier .... using it as a tablet on its own... i cant use the volume buttons.. Using the volume down with the pen hovering over it like Thoimis suggested. Gives you the right click menu. Attaching my power cover to my tablet however. Makes it use the volume buttons in the propper way .... volume up works for volume up and volume down works for volume down
  6. where do you think i need to look? the DSDT? or the Battery Kext?
  7. @jahstories, is our DSDT for SP1 Patched for the battery in the powercover? or does it need to be edited in some way. i have the PC hanging on the SP1, it can use its power (surface OS X M 10.9.2 thinks its on an external powersource) but i cant see the % data or the filled cels in the system management under the "Power" Tab.
  8. Guys, Does anyone know if i need to edit the Battery kext to get both battery's visible for the surface pro 1 power cover in 10.9.2? I know it uses the cover but i dont get the info if its charged yes or no .... :/ Many thnx in advance
  9. results after booting with headphones pluggedin Config Board System management
  10. @Mirone, Seems to work fine for me on 10.9.2 Surface Pro 1, pluging in headphones switches sound to headphones and pulling it out switches it back. The only thing im wondering if im the only one having that, is that NO audio device is recorgnised, when i BOOT with the headphones already plugged in and i have to reboot without them before sound starts working again.
  11. @outdo Everything is awesome right And yes you do place the name of your osx partition name there @mirone/jahstories. Did you guys notice that the sound device isnt showing up, when the tablet is booting with the appleHDA.kext and a headphone plugged in before booting? Or is that something only occured to me? Just wondering
  12. the trial IS the commercial one vudo, and it will work. Btw choose ONE of the two since you cant install both drivers at the same time. Good luck
  13. Hi guys, I'm having problems getting my Mavericks 10.9.4 installation to run without safemode. My system starts perfectly in safemode with 4K resolution and sees the graphics card as ATI Radeon HD 7*** 6144MB But when i try to boot without safemode it hangs right before the launch of the GUI. Is there something I'm missing here? (and just a side question, does somebody know if the radeon HD 7970 runs on Yosemite otherwise ill go to that one on launch.) My system setup: MB: Intel Desktopboard DX79TO Memory: G-Skill Ripjaws 32GB 1600Mhz (4x8GB) Graphicscard: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Vapor-X 6GB edition. Wireless Network card: D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme-N (in OS X recorgnised OoB as Non-Apple Airport Extreme) One small thing relevant of noticing, I've had Mountain Lion 10.8.4 fully opperational on this machine. (except for the fact that osx didnt see my full 6GB graphics card but i had Qe/Ci. With Kind Regards, Sven
  14. @Jahstories Just came home from my holiday today, I've installed the new appleHDA.kext. It works like a charm on a single boot OSX 10.9.2 SP1. Pluging in and out works perfectly, even with a song on it switches the audio output source without delay. Also, despite the number of people that keep asking for a fix of the not working app store and such at their installation. Might it be a smart move to place a few solutions on the FIRST post of this topic. since half of the people asking only read your first post guide and not the rest of the topic in which it has been discussed at least 10 times in the past 10 pages... And all thats left now is the internal wifi right
