  1. Hi! I'm using an Asus Sabertooth X79 motherboard on my hackintosh build. I'm also using an Intel 3930k CPU. Other than that, I have a soundcard called RME HDSPe installed aswell as a graphicscard (GeForce GTX 660) and now I installed this new Wirless network card which is TP-LINK N900 Wireless Dual Band. and that's it. I keep getting this error: reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key hackintosh I've checked the boot priority and the BBS but I just can't change anything at all. I found out that its ONLY This slot on the motherboard that gives me this error message which makes it impossible to me to even boot into OSX anymore. What can I do to fix this issue? I NEED this wireless network card that I've put into this PCIe slot becuase without it I can't run internet due to my new ISP, new router and new apartment. The slot that this is installed to is this slot (slot #2 on the picture): http://gyazo.com/8486f5f4741d33d1221fec7936bf9bbb which seems to be a PCIe 2.0 x1_1 slot. PLEASE, I really need help! I tried to install other things such as soundcard in this slot too but it gives me the same error! Thank you so much for help. Its much appreciated.
  2. Sure doing it now Here you go: http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/18699682/file.html Thats how far I come, I dont get anywhere further.
  3. Anyone? please? I need to study for my exams.. really frustrating that this happens right now...
  4. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I deleted all cache aswell on my hackintosh. OK, so I followed this thread: "I would remove all caches: Code:# in Terminalsudo rm -r /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches Then run Kext Wizard to repair permissions & rebuild caches. Especially since you've been mucking directly with the com.apple.kext.caches/Startup directory…" So I typed that in the terminal, then downloaded KextWizard and repaired permissions and rebuild the caches. BUT… It didn't help at all. Same thing. Stuck at the Apple logo with grey background and without spinning wheel. What the heck is going on? it worked this morning and it has been working for months now. Please help. Thanks.
  5. I used disk utility and repaired permissions and cleared the cache of safari. Yet no result. still the same thing. What should I do?
  6. How do I do this? please guide me. I'm pretty new to the whole hackintosh thing. Thanks alot for the fast reply! appreciated alot.
  7. Hi! After a few months of usage my hackintosh just stopped working. It booted just fine this morning (just a few hours ago!) but now I'm stuck at the apple logo. The weird thing is that I haven't changed ANYTHING whatsoever. And yet it just stopped letting me into OSX. I really need some help on this matter. Please help! What could be the issue? (probably graphics I guess?) I can boot into the system using: -v -f -x GraphicsEnabler=No but the graphics are not working very well. It's like a really low FPS and lagging like hell. I cant watch videos nor play any games etc. What should I do? Thanks.
  8. Hi! Thanks alot. Here's the ioreg with both displays connected: http://www52.zippyshare.com/v/20850553/file.html I hope I did right. What exactly is hotplug? I've tried to remove my other screen (DELL Screen) and just go with the cinema display, but it really doesnt work at all. 0 signal :/ Thanks.
  9. No one? I found this thread (yes I know that tonymacx86 isnt reliable, but.. good info): http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/84286-cinema-display-not-working-2.html A guy having the exact same problem as me.. and seems to be not fixing it either.
  10. Wow it sounds like a complicated process. I dont even know half of this as Im not so good at this.. Anyone of u willing to help me through this? hehe. I would really need some help.
  11. Thanks alot. But as I live in Sweden, its hard to buy from other countries and it takes extremely long time to recieve it. IF I recieve it at all. What do you think about this adapter: http://www.dustinhome.se/product/5010465399/deltaco-displayport-displayport-mini-displayport/?s=c#intcmp=con_sel ? And this is the adapter I'm using right now: http://www.kjell.com/sortiment/dator-kringutrustning/kablar-adaptrar/displayport/mini-displayport-till-displayport/mini-displayport-adapter-p69065 SO... lets say a new adapter doesn't work at all. What do I do? I suspect its not the adapter. I suspect its an UEFI bios issue as I've read about it alot on the internet that Cinema Displays doesnt work at all with UEFI bios. I'm so sad about this.. looks like I bought this screen but it simply cannot work for me :/ it's like throwing away all my money. The only solution I saw people found was switching graphics card from gigabyte to something else. In my case I have NVIDIA GeForce 660 and no Gigabyte graphics card. Is it possible to buy an adapter from minidisplayport to DUAL DVI? (DVI-D). That would most likely solve the issue as I think its in the displayport my issue is
  12. Thanks alot for the quick answer. I have the same graphics card, but not the Ti version! I'm 100% positive that it's NOT a thunderbolt display. It's the normal mini displayport display. So.. what adapter do you use and what do you recommend using? Are you sure its the adapter? I read something about that its problem if u have UEFI biofs. Some people thought it was the adapter and bought a new one but it still didnt work. Thanks alot for the quick answer. I appreciate it alot! Best, J
  13. Hi! I've used my hackintosh comptuer for a while now. I have a 27" DELL screen connected already, which works like a charm (using a DVI-D cable). But now I bought a new screen (an Apple Cinema Display 27"), and I bought an adapter from minidisplayport to displayport which goes into my graphics card. Specs of computer: Asus Sabertooth x79 motherboard GeForce GTX 660 Intel 3930k processor etc. I get absolutely NO signal what so ever to my apple cinema display 27" which is connected to the displayport input of my graphicscard. I read something about UEFI problems with displayport/cinema displays but is there a fix for it? I really need to get my brand new cinema display to work with my hackintosh! It was expensive as hell aswell. please, someone help me. I would so much appreciate the answers. Thanks alot! Best, J
  14. No one? really? I'm in desperate help here! I got sound gear worth over 10.000Euro! I really need to fix this audio issue dropping out and becoming silent! please help. Please.
