  1. I have the following partitions on my /dev/sda. /dev/sda1 Boot /dev/sda2 Mavericks /dev/sda3 Snow Leopard /dev/sda4 Linux /dev/sda6 Fedora I installed Chameleon on partition Boot, and made sure sda2 and sda3 do not have a boot loader on their own for now. sda4 and sda6 have their own GRUB2 and they work like a charm too. So, my system works perfectly fine, but what I want is: I want to hide Fedora and instead use the GRUB2 bootloader on sda4 to boot both Fedora and Ubuntu (which is possible and it already does it, so to list Fedora is redundant here). Now here are the details: In sda1 I just have boot loader and I don't have Extra folder (No smbios.plist and org.chameleon.boot.plist here) and whenever I want to boot to Mavericks I pass the arguments: kernel=mach_kernel_mavericks rd=disk0s2 And whenever I want to boot to Snow Leopard I pass the arguments: kernel=mach_kernel_snow rd=disk0s3 This is cumbersome but I couldn't come up with a better idea. I thought of doing this because, if I put Extra/Extension in sda1, the extensions for Snow Leopard gets loaded for Mavericks and gives kernel panic, so I said Ok, I'll separate them and call them individually as arguments. As I said, it works and both my Snow Leopard and Mavericks are doing pretty good but passing those parameters every time is just tiring. Plus, because I can't have an /Extra folder (and hence a plist file in it I guess!!!) in /dev/sda1, I can't hide partitions. I have added "Hide Partition" key in both plist files in corresponding Extra folder for both Snow Leopard and Mavericks but it doesn't work. I'd appreciate if someone can help. Cheers
  2. Thanks for this. Although my CPU is not AMD (look at signature), this helped me use both the cores. The only issue is that, when Snow Leopard boots, I get the following warning just once: Unsynchronized TSC for cpu 1: 0x0000000b7962f210, delta 0x1330000f8 I tried changing IOCPUNumber in Info.plist, to 2 and 3 but system gets so laggy and the error message would still exist. The system runs smoothly but hot. I wonder what the issue is and how I can improve even further.
  3. Thanks to HUSABER, the DSDT for my laptop is now errorless. But issues remain there. I have attached both the original DSDT (which has errors and is purely the the DSDT I extracted) and the fixed DSDT (no errors, applied fixes for SpeedStep, IDE kernel panic, EHCI, UHCI, CMOS reset, and IRQ reallocation with DSDTFixer). Still, after weeks of reading (RTFM first rule! ) and applying, when I wake up my laptop from sleep, the screen is black. I confirm the keyboard is working. Also, the CPU gets hot (although I applied SpeedStep fix!). I would really really really appreciate if someone can help me resolve these issues. Please delete .txt extension. The zip file has both dsl and aml files. Thanks! fixed.zip.txt original.zip.txt
  4. Toshiba T230-01H DSDT fix

Thank you HUSABER. I used the patched DSDT but problem is still there. Sleep -> immediately wake up -> black screen. But OSX is clearly responsive, as I can turn on LED on keyboard, and I can even magically restart by doing this: Ctrl + F2 (go to apple icon) > press down arrow key 6 times to come down to select Restart (as I can't see anything!) > Enter > Tab > Enter. What patches have you applied? Can you please apply most common ones for me, like SSDT, SpeedStep, etc. as the CPU gets too hot. Thanks a looot
  5. Toshiba T230-01H DSDT fix

So just to add on top of my first post, when booting I can see that AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext is initialized.
  6. Toshiba T230-01H DSDT fix

I am a noob to OSX86 scene. However, I really enjoyed installing both Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion on my Toshiba T230-01H laptop (Personally, I prefer SL). Along the way, I learned a lot of stuff which resulted to setting up a great OS. However, it's not perfect. The laptop is running on Intel Pentium but you have to note that, I CAN use SL without NullCPUPowerManagement kext. Now I need your help: The CPU produces so much heat and it's working with all horse power I want it to run healthy and as smooth as my Windows and Linux do... Can someone please fix DSDT and SSDT for me? I guess it's called speedstepping, eh? I have uploaded my DSDT.dsl and SSDT.dsl. (I had to zip them as forum didn't allow me to upload) What things should I consider? If someone can point me to right direction, I'd appreciate. Also, sleep and hibernate don't work either. When I issue sleep/hibernate, it comes back to black screen!!! DSDT.zip SSDT.zip
  7. A quick question - just thinking about source of my issues: Does OSX partition have to be marked as bootable for hibernate/sleep to work properly? As you know, for instance in Windows on an MBR BIOS computer (which I am), if a partition other than Windows partition is active (i.e. bootable), hibernate/sleep won't work! Is it same with OSX?
  8. Hi Super_LoP, Can you help me too? I am stuck and I tried what I could but when waking up, it is still black screen. I really don't need the brightness slider, so even post #6 in this thread suffices for me, but it doesn't work. Please look at my DSDT a few posts above. Thanks. The memory region at 0xD00C8250 in RW-Everything is 13121312 same as mnorthern's. Right now, I don't have screenshots with me (I've written down all those numbers from RW-Everything on a piece of paper), but if I should give you screenshots to be able to help, please let me know. Thanks again.
  9. I confirm I get the same errors. Can someone please take a look at my DSDT (post right above) and help me out? Without working sleep and hibernation, my laptop is no good. Thanks.
  10. My laptop was waking up as soon as I put it into sleep or hibernate and it wakes up to black screen. To solve the first issue, I removed all EHC2 blocks, so now my laptop goes to sleep. Next, I tried to resolve the 2nd issue by following this guide but it doesn't seem to work for me. My Bar1 is 0xD0000004, and I tried both mnorthern's and jerry's way to no avail. Can someone take a look at my DSDT please? I have attached my DSDT (the untouched one) as the one I edited was not working anyways!) P.S. I have to say I didn't follow this thread. DSDT.aml.zip
  11. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Thanks for this great guide. I would like to report that I have enabled QE/CI in my laptop. As you can see in my signature, it has an Intel Pentium CPU, therefore, I suggest the OP edit the first post. One doesn't have to have Core i3, i5, or i7 for this to work. Happy that now I can enjoy Pro apps too. Being a newcomer in OSX86 scene, please allow me to ask this though: When I attach an external monitor to my laptop with DVI cable, it doesn't show anything. Can anyone point me to a right direction where I should look up to fix this VGA issue? Thanks!
  12. It does work on my ML 10.8.4. (Specs in the signature) This is a really useful app. Thanks. I submitted my data too.
