  1. VoodooHDA - common problems

any ideas on how to fix? ive been trying to do this for awhile now lol. i also saw other people ITT were having the same problem but didnt get it fixed.
  2. VoodooHDA - common problems

im having an issue where audio starts out perfectly fine then gradually starts delaying and getting distorted to the point where it's muted. any ideas on a fix? been looking around everywhere and other people have the problem but haven't gotten a fix yet
  3. VoodooHDA Random Static

I just checked my boot flags in clover and apparently I've been booting in verbose mode this whole time. Could that be causing it? My computer won't boot without verbose, though, for some reason.
  4. VoodooHDA Random Static

Hi sorry for the super late reply but I tried this and to no avail the static started after 10 minutes again.
  5. VoodooHDA Random Static

wasn't set to true. i changed it but the static started after 10 minutes again. do i need to maybe restart? sorry i'm still sort of new to the concept of hackintoshing.
  6. VoodooHDA Random Static

So I got VoodooHDA working finally and for some reason it will randomly just start staticing up (after about 10 minutes or so of use) but after I change the integer to the opposite it's on currently the audio fixes itself, but 10 minutes later the audio is messed up again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried the fixes in the thread but no luck.
  7. Install OS X ML on a HP dv6

On my old DV6 this occurred the first time I installed OS X with iAtkos because I was choosing the incorrect drivers are customization. Try reinstalling without choosing any drivers and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, you can either try searching for the kexts online or reinstalling but researching the drivers to make sure you're picking the correct ones.
  8. question about audio

I'll be sure to use that one when I install Mountain Lion. Gees $125 my budget's not that high haha. Thanks.
  9. so im going to try installing mountain lion on my pc again because i really need to use logic pro for making music, and don't feel like spending a bunch of money for something i could spend less than $200 on. ive successfully installed mountain lion on my computer before (as i said in my other thread) and the only things that didnt work were internet and audio. ive already ordered a wireless usb that is compatible with mac, but i wanted to know if theres a such thing as a legit "universal" audio kext? i found one but im guessing its not legit considering some people are having to use usb audio. Link to it if anyone wants to test i guess http://www.mediafire.com/download/qwk92ukx102bxkt/VoodooHDA-v2.8.2+2.zip
  10. Gateway P-7811 FX

any idea on if i can install mavericks on this laptop? ive installed lion on it successfully other than my sound and network card (which i'll probably have to replace before i install mac on this laptop) here are the specs Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (2.26GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB L2 cache) Memory: 4GB (4096MB) DDR3 800MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 x 2048MB modules), max. 4GB Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS with 512MB of GDDR3 discrete video memory Chipset: Intel PM45 Chipset Display: 17.0″ WUXGA Ultrabright TFT Active Matrix (1920x1200) Audio: High-Def Audio, 2 Channel (Conexant) DVD Drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50 ATA Device Digital Media Manager: 5-in-1 Digital Media Manager Memory Stick, MS Pro, MMC, SD, xD External Ports: 3 USB 2.0, VGA, V1.2 HDMI Connector, IEEE 1394 Firewire Port, e-SATA Ethernet Network Card: Marvell variant Optical Drive: 8x Multi-Format Dual Layer DVDRW with DVD-RAM featuring Labelflash Technology Wireless Network: Intel 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wireless Networking (Intel 5100) everything except the ethernet, wireless, and sound worked with lion. itd be nice if you had a kext for wireless or sound but pretty sure based on the hour i spent searching for one for wireless there's none for that
  11. What do you mean. I'm gonna get a USB today for temporary use but I still will need a Sound Card eventually. I may get a USB sound driver thing too some time, how's the speed on that NetGear?
  12. Hello, I installed Mac OS X Lion on my PC yesterday, but sadly I'm almost 100% sure my wireless card doesn't work with my wireless card (Intel® WiFi Link 5100 AGN) so now I need to find a wireless card that works with Hackintosh and that is just as fast (or faster) than my current one. Does anyone have some recommendations for a good Lion compatible Wireless Card that is just as good as my current one (or better)? If you have a Kext that actually works (I couldn't find one anywhere that works for Lion and most people say Intel Wireless doesn't work with Mac) it would be nice to tell me to save me some money.
