  1. I wiped it using 'nvram -c', but I keep getting the damn Memory allocation error on boot
  2. When I use this version of Chameleon, I get a quick error message saying something like invalid Kernel. It disappears immediately and the screen goes back to my boot choices. Just reverted to 2391 which works for now, apart from the NVRAM issues.
  3. Tried this as well, produces the exakt same error as in my earlier screenshot.
  4. Just tried it, getting the same error, see screenshot attached. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sqo6w1o349yspoi/2014-08-28%2017.11.26.jpg?dl=0
  5. Sorry, boot.plist is what I meant.
  6. I already have kennel added through Chameleon in my smbios.plist, if thats what you mean. Or do you mean something else?
  7. Hi all, I set out to try to fix my iMessage, by enabling the FileNVRAM module in Chameleon, but it seems the NVRAM module is causing a Memory allocation error, se screenshot. Without this module enabled, my hackintosh is fully functional and works just nu. Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Yosemite USB Boot Problems

Weird, it paues at Missing Bluetooth Controller. After a minute or so, this pops up: '124.507214: ATHR: unknown locale: 21' and goes on for a couple of rows.

    Yosemite USB Boot Problems

Stuck at 'Missing Bluetooth...' now, trying to work out my graphics issues. At least I'm making progress! Hm, seems my graphics card is having some issues. Tried combinations of -x, GraphicsEnabler etc, but booting stops at 'Missing Bluetooth...'. Any ideas how to solve it?

    Yosemite USB Boot Problems

Thanks, Onixs. Having some trouble getting back into the installer (display goes black after verbose boot all of a sudden), but as soon as I'm in the installer I'll copy over the kext and let you know how it goes.

    Yosemite USB Boot Problems

    Alright, I have now gotten past the installer (had to use -x, otherwise I would get a kernel panic). However, when booting from my freshly installed drive, I can´t seem to avoid a kernel panic. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>/System/Library/Kernels/Kernel</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Volumes/Yosemite Beta/Extra/SMBios.plist</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>LoginToLion</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist>

    Yosemite USB Boot Problems

Thanks Agostino, will give it a shot later today. Will let you know if it changes anything.
  13. I've so far tried three different methods for creating a bootable Yosemite installer, with varying failures: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298753-boot-usb-os-x-yosemite-chameleon/ Result: I get stuck half way through boot, with 'Waiting for root device'. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/uploads/monthly_07_2014/post-1188792-0-44397500-1406549178.jpg http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299865-clover-v2k-r2780-special-edition-yosemite-beta/ Result: Is not even recognized as a proper boot device. I only get the message: 'Insert proper boot device and press any key to continue' http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298521-easy-yosemite-1010-usb-installer-updated-public-beta/ Result: Is not even recognized as a proper boot device. I only get the message: 'Insert proper boot device and press any key to continue' What am I doing wrong here? Hardware specs in my signature, and for your information I'm using a 16GB Transcend USB 3.0 stick as boot device. Any help would be greatly appreciated, would love to give Yosemite a shot!
  14. Thanks for all your help guys, derketzer through PM's in particular! I finally got it working by using this .kext, installed it with Kext utility and then patched my DSDT by following this guide carefully, step-by-step.
  15. Thanks, will give it a try. Right now I can't even boot, somehow I messed up my DSDT completely. Will revert back as soon as I'm able to boot again.
