  1. [Success] Asus p8z68-v

    You also removed the DSDT?
  2. iMessage / App Store and iCloud

It worked out of the box for me.
  3. Download this app and run it. It ensures that your GPU never enters its lowest power state (which causes the crashes). I've been using it for weeks without a single crash. If you set it to open at login, make sure you disable the "hide" option or it won't work.
  4. [Working]Asus P8Z68-V Pro + GTX 560 Ti

That's odd. Do you have the original P8Z68-V Pro or the GEN3 revision?
  5. [Working]Asus P8Z68-V Pro + GTX 560 Ti

Copy them from the USB installer (/system/library/extensions) onto the Mavericks installation (/volumes/<maverick drive here>/system/library/extensions)
  6. [Working]Asus P8Z68-V Pro + GTX 560 Ti

After I installed Mavericks, I opened the terminal from within the installer and copied FakeSMC.kext + AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext to the newly installed system. System booted without any problems. I used -f -v, but I rebooted out of curiosity and it worked without any flags at all.
  7. System: Asus P8Z68-V Pro + Core i5 2500k Install Method: Here (Used FakeSMC & AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kexts + my ML /extra folder) Status: CPU: Works great. Benchmarks reveal no loss of performance GPU: Works out of the box. Full resolution + multi monitor support. Ethernet: Fixed with hnak's AppleIntelE1000e.kext Audio: Fixed with AppleHDA.kext for ALC892 Apps: App store & messaging works out of the box USB 3.0: Does not work out of the box. I'll attempt to fix and report back NOTES: Latest version of Skype (as of 6/11/2013) is unusable on 10.9. Version works great
  8. Weird GPU bug freezing system

I've been experiencing a weird bug... Basically, the screen freezes and I'm unable to interact with anything, but I can still move the mouse cursor around the screen. After a while, the cursor turns into the beach ball and I lose the ability to even move it. Oddly enough, all background processes still work. I was streaming a movie with Plex when it happened and I was able to continue watching the movie. I've been looking at the logs, and I'm pretty sure it's a GPU problem. I extracted the log from when it happened.http://pastebin.com/rMU4yZ1q. I would really appreciate some input on the matter. My system details are below P8Z68-V Pro with proven DSDT for motherboard Core i5 2500k Geforce 560 Ti with NVIDIA Retail 304.00.00f20 OpenCL patch EDIT: Fixed using this guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/93022-560ti-fermi-freeze-back-latest-drivers-10-8-3-a-8.html
  9. Can't get turbo boost working

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. EDIT: I formatted my drive and started over using a premade Asus P8Z68-V Pro Bios 1101 DSDT. Everything works (turbo boost, sleep, etc).
  10. Can't get turbo boost working

How did you go about patching your DSDT manually? When I extract mine, I get compilation errors even before I try to patch it.
  11. Can't get turbo boost working

Won't that cause a kernel panic? Either way, I'll give that a shot right now. EDIT: Booting with DropSSDT and no NullCPUPowerManagement causes the system to hang with corecrypto.kext messages Booting without DropSSDT and no NullCPUPowerManagement causes the system stay at 1.6Ghz 100% of the time.
  12. I've tried a lot of things (both through the bios & patches), but I can't seem to get turbo boost working. I am stuck at 1.6Ghz idle and 3.3Ghz load. During my last attempt, I used the ssdtPRGen script to generate a new ssdt.aml without any changes. However, enabling DropSSDT causes my system to freeze while booting. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Booting with DropSSDT causes a NullCPUPowerManagement error P8Z68-V Pro Core i5 2500k Geforce 560 Ti
  13. I actually screwed up my installation by doing a few of those things, but I was able to revert the changes. Going to go through them 1 at a time to see what caused the problem and hopefully optimize this. Thanks for the link! EDIT: I formatted my drive and started over using a premade Asus P8Z68-V Pro Bios 1101 DSDT. Everything works (turbo boost, sleep, etc).
  14. I did get one, but that was before pandora bugged out on me and I had to switch to something else, so it probably never made it through. So I need to find an AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and SSDT optimized for a i5 2500k?
  15. Everything is up and running! Thanks so much for your help. Pandora had a very weird bug so I had to switch to something else. Everything seems to work except for sleep (which isn't a big deal). I'm a little concerned about performance though. Everything seems to run well, but I got some pretty low scores when I ran geekbench.
