    GMA X4500

Same issues I've been having with every kext I have tried. Vertical Lines, broken cursor. Same Dev ID as everyone else, 2a42.

    GMA4500 Solved Native Resolution!

I've looked at all possible outcomes for this kext, InsanelyMac has posted a few variations of the same kext, and none of them have done me any good. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be nice. The resolution works, but I get a very horrible looking render with lines going up and down, and a purple shade over it all. It's hard to explain. I've also tried the Chameleon 915resolution patch, which honestly makes no difference to me. GMA4500 Solved Native Resolution!

Anyone going to help, would be nice not to have artifacts and the purple overlay. I should also note that it displays fine on external displays, just the internal one that is giving me issues.

    GMA4500 Solved Native Resolution!

The kext works, but I get the same result as I have with other kexts, the screen is purple, and looks garbled. Dunno how to explain it. 0x2a42, Dell Studio 1737 with Intel 4500MHD Video.

    GMA X4500

The kext I used was the one suggested in another thread. It worked, but the screen was purple =/

Is there any chance that someone has made a driver for the X4500 MHD? It's basically what's been holding me off from using OS X Snow Leopard or Leopard.

Leo4AllV3 Dell Studio Graphics and WiFi

Just so we're on the same page here, everything but the Audio works in this patcher. Nice work though.
  8. Didn't have a choice in the matter, it was bought for my 19th birthday.
  9. I just love how everyone is so helpful
  10. I'm quite familiar with OSx86, so I'm not a n00b. I was wondering if anyone has tried Snow Leopard on a Dell Studio 1737? 11. As much as everyone is going to kill me for saying this. If they would add Copy+Paste, I might consider getting it.

    Made with a mac! :-)

Nice song bro. I like it.
  13. Doesn't surprise me, 10.5.6 had quite a few issues at launch, and apparently Apple is still working them out.

    help with kalyway

    1. What program are you using to look at the archive file? Also, where did you get it? 2. Unfortunately, it isn't like Vista, you can't just pop it on some USB Key or external drive and expect it to work, there are ways to do that, but none that I am aware of.

    OSx86 Tools Messed Me Up

Ah, man... That's not good. You don't have a backup of the file do you.
