  1. El Capitan Skylake USB

Hi, I have an ASUS Z170 PRO Gaming, and installed it successfully using this guide. The problem is when it finishes installing, upon restarting the hard drive (all works) the welcome screen appears, then I select the country, keyboard, and then network. Once hitting next (after the network) it goes back to the console and throws the errors in the picture attached here, and reboots on its own. I can go back to the hard drive, which asks me to fill again country, keyboard, network and restarts again :loop:. Any ideas on what may be wrong? Thank you!
  2. Hi Mammoth, Thanks for the hard work! For when you have a spare minute, could you please check this? Thanks!
  3. Thanks, but Mammoth had the same model as I do, and he even got this loading using the 1.0 release, without needing an USB drive. Then 1.5, 1.5b, and even 2.0 came to light to include options for other boxes (eg i5, i3) as I understand, but should be perfectly valid to load it with just the CD. I have bought last hour a 16GB Pendrive to try this method, but is a lot of reading compared with what we had previously with the CD method. Will try to get in touch, but still, loading it from the CD should be easy for my box. Thanks
  4. Hi Mammoth! How're you? Tried again to install this with the 1.5a version... so far have burn the 1.0, 1.5 and 1.5a versions having the same results... and I have the same machine as you do! (not trying the USB method, but the normal way with the CD boot). CD boots perfectly, but then, when I insert the Retail 10.6.3 disc, I get: HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. Loading Darwin HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. Loading kernel mach_kernel HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. HFS signature was not present. Can't find mach_kernel and doesn't boots... I've checked the disk and mach_kernel is there... I even burnt the disc using both, Leopard and Windows, with no difference. Any clue? Thank you!!!

  6. Hi Mammoth, Can I sign for the Beta? Got my notebook updated at the signature (have 6 boxes running OSX, and I'm about to quit trying with my DV8 due frustration). I appreciate your efforts making this thing work! ID: CyberEvil

    Don't line up! T_T
  8. [Install] Dell Latitude E6400 E6500

Hi folks, I've tried all methods above on my Dell Latitude E6400 to make work the missing components of my installation, and sadly can't. Please note, I'm using SnowOSX 10.6.2 on 64 bits (switching to 32 makes no difference). What works: - Triple Boot OSX / Win 7 / Ubuntu - Keyboard / Trackpad - Shutdown / Restart - Wi Fi (trick: Make sure to log to Windows/Linux/whatever before installing OSX... this will force the Wi-Fi card to "start"... without doing this, it won't be detected during installation, even if the switch is ON) - LAN (Used a custom broadcomm kext found around, for 64 bits). - Sound: Used VoodooHDA (no Mic :S) - DVDRW What doesn't Works: - Video GMA 4500 - no matter what, tried all around... I'm not able to make it load *any* kext for graphics display. ID: 2a42 - running at an ugly 1024x768 resolution... can't make any other res to work. Tried to replace the dsdt file with the one here, and using the FB kext and it refuses to load. - USB!!! - I can't connect *anything* using any USB port - TOUCHPAD!!!!! it goes crazy, and if I use the pack of kexts posted above, I lose Trackpad and Keyboard - therefore can't move anything. - Sleep / Hibernate - Bluetooth - tried using DellBluetoothHCI.kext, and it does nothing... - Cards reader (I'm not desperate for this) I'm in a desperate need for a hand... I'm attaching the lspci output from linux and extensions listing. I appreciate any feedback! lspci.txt kexts.txt
  9. Hi Folks, I've been using these drivers for long, and works flawlessly. The only issue I have (I understand is not working after reading latest posts) is that the MIC is not working (Front Panel / rear; is the same). I wonder about this, since I also have on the same box a Realtek 883 ICH8R -MSI P965 Platinum onboard- and for some reason, since I've used these drivers, I don't see a Mic option for it neither. What would be needed to bring it back, even if I have to use the realtec mic input and the soundblaster output? Thanks a lot!
  10. I'm desperate for this (actually, I work from my "Mac"). If anyone has a fix for my BIOS problem, I'll be grateful forever Thanks!
  11. Hi Folks, Thanks for the hand you're giving us on this. I have a MSI P965 Platinum Motherboard. Everything was working great (using the BIOS default). Suddenly my computer started to shutdown by itself (all OSes, not only my Kalyway 10.5.3). Thought it was the PSU, then replaced it. Did the same, then cleaned every fan. Did the same, then changed the video card. And so on... Thought about updating the Mobo's Bios, and chan! it worked! Now it works without shutting down, on all OSes. But Leopard didn't like the new Bios and gets stuck at login at the same point seen some of you are getting stuck. This is the updated Bios for my mother: http://download1.msi.com.tw/files/download...exe/7238v18.zip Video Card: XFX 8800 GTX Is it possible to patch this Bios? Thank you a lot! ~Cyber
  12. OSX only seeing 256mb on my 8800ultra?

    Well, it works
  13. OSX only seeing 256mb on my 8800ultra?

Hi, Install this: http://scottdangel.com/blog/?p=23 Any selection will work. If you use the "next" button without customize, it will correctly install the drivers with 256 MB, but if you select to customize the options, select the 768 option unchecking ALL the rest. I have a 8800 GTX @1920x1200~75Hz 768MB running with this method.
  14. Hi, With the modbin one, IPhone got detected, shutdown/reboot works perfect and so far I didn't seen anything weird (I'm using a 32 bits environment). USB/FW DVD still gives error on burn and the internal IDE DVD remains undetected.
