  1. Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

@tluck - I had issues where UEFI wouldn't boot. Or some other situations like it wouldn't boot for the second time in a row. Actually today I was determined to go for it and in the end just tried using USB port which is under display port slot - it worked. I've tried all the other previously but it wouldn't work (as I said, would boot only once and then wouldn't for consequent times). These ports do work for USB disks to copy data, etc. Strange, but it worked now. Typing this from 10.9.2. The USB drive for future reference if someone hits the same issue is Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 8GB. At the moment I'm going to run on a test drive for a few days - will post for information if some issues appear. At the moment I can confirm that it does work with 1.33 whitelisted BIOS.
  2. Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

Guys, Trying to find why I can't install 10.9. having issues with clover. One thing coming to mind has anyone done it with old 1.33 whitelisted BIOS? Wondering if update would solve my issues. Thanks
  3. Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

Hey guys, Still having bad luck to install Clover on MBR. Using 10.8 with chameleon now. Can someone give a clue where I might be wrong. #1. I create two partition in USB drive with MBR partition table. 1 - 200MB msdos, 2 - what's remaining for the image. #2. I download Clover_v2k_r2428 and install it to the 200MB partition changing only a single thing - "Install boot0af in MBR" #3. I copy EFI directory from tluck's provided ZIP and overwrite everything inside the 200mb partition. #4 I "install" os x using this command to the bigger partition: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app —nointeraction #5 I get "b1f init error". I managed to to clover once (randomly playing but can recreate this build). Even when I got there Mac OS installer wouldn't boot throwing plenty of errors this SMCreaderror. Anyone can shed a light where I'm wrong. Thanks!!

@tluck - thanks. Does the kext pack from 10.8 work?
  5. [GUIDE] Thinkpad T420 with (Mountain) Lion

Anyone had luck with 10.9 final version on BIOS version of T420?
  6. [GUIDE] Thinkpad T420 with (Mountain) Lion

So I've updated 3 T420 laptops to 10.8.4. All of them with 2.5GHz i5. Everywhere the same problem with audio, but everything seems to work fine so this should be a pretty safe update.
  7. [GUIDE] Thinkpad T420 with (Mountain) Lion

Hi, Just thought to share first details on 10.8.4 update. Tried it today (using app store update) and so far it seems the only thing it has ruined was audio (had to reinstall previous AppleHDA.kext to get it back using #####). Other than that everything went fine. Will have some more time to have a look at it tomorrow and should post an update if I notice anything else wrong here.
