  1. Just out of curiosity, while I haven't touched my OS X install very much in the last few months, aside from updating to 10.9.4 and keeping the "boot pack" files that gigabyte provides on the first page somewhat up to date... I tried to use your Dummy HDA kext shared a few days ago, and can't seem to figure out how to make it work. I know you say you patch AppleHDA with clover, and maybe my brain has taken too much time away from hackintosh stuff, but could you tell me what the patch is specifically? Is it a selection in options, or is it an actual patch that needs to manually be inserted into config.plist? I haven't really done much with mine since moving the install over to an external hard drive and expanding my windows partition back to the full drive size, but it's still going to be another month or two until I get my rMBP, and it would be nice to start using OS X more on my HP until my school sends the MacBook. Thanks for any help you can give. (I hate sounding like a noob, but sometimes... When I step away for too long, I forget some of what I learned.)

I'm sorry, I assumed (wrongly) that he was referring to the mobile version. I thought it was pretty well known in the thread, especially after you said "have you even read this thread" that the desktop version is working. The solution is on this page no less.

I'll spare you 13 pages of backlog, the short answer is "not yet." Give it time, and wait patiently, I'm sure it will be resolved eventually. In the meantime, OS X Mavericks still works just fine, if you need QE/CI asap.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, and let's not rush pike. Patience. I'm hopeful that support for the mobile 4600 will be coming soon.

Apple will support the mobile HD4600 eventually, it works OOB in mavericks, and the desktop version of it currently works as well. This is still very beta so we can't expect it to be perfect.

We've tried changing that though to no avail. So far even manually inserting the correct device off hasn't given QE/CI and inject intel in clover currently isn't doing it for us either.

Same for me with my HP envy. Doesn't seem like the mobile HD4600 has been added yet. I had my fingers crossed, since the desktop version has been working since DP2, I assumed [one should never assume] that we would be next in line with the third beta. Oh well. I guess I'll switch back to mavericks for now. I was really hoping to try handoff out though.

I'll see what I can find for sure, and yes, I also prefer clover. Many more options!

    OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

I'm having trouble getting my system into icloud/AppStore/FaceTime/iMessage (using clover uefi, and with system definition MacBook Pro 11,2) my current smbios settings work under OS X Mavericks, so I'm a bit confused why it doesn't want to work under Yosemite at all. Anyone have any ideas? (Hp Envy 17" touch smart m7j010dx full specs are in signature)

I'll search around a bit, but I haven't run across anything quite yet.

I'm installing now, I'll report back as soon as I can. Here's hoping!

Has anybody gotten the mobile version of the HD4600 working with QE/CI yet running DP3? I haven't had a chance to try the update yet, but I was wondering if support for it has been added yet or not on apple's end.

    OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Just use the latest clover uefi, select the kernel pm patch (if you have a haswell processor) and select the lapic patch if you need it. Micky, after looking at his specs, the early reboot is not lapic related, though that laptop may also require lapic patch (a decent amount of hp's do, my hp envy doesn't though) the early reboot that he's referring to is the haswell early reboot, due to locked MSRs, which the more recent clover builds have the updated patch built in.

The desktop HD4600 is supported and working, however the laptop version still isn't working properly. It all depends which you're planning to install on. If you're thinking of doing it on a laptop, I would wait.
