HELP TOPIC - [AMD] OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Hi there. I have one question for kernel developers. I see many versions of kernel (by @Shaneee, @spakk, @Duran_Keeley and more). I think that's mean that they're have each one's patchset for kernel... With different bugs and fixes. The question is: "why they're not share patchsets to community?" Really, guys. One kernel with big community will be more stable, and community reviews may point developers to issues (like icons glitch etc). Does it sounds rational?

  4. Hi there, so today I was updated to 10.10.5 (with 10.10.5_SSEPlus_V2 kernel) and Xcode to 7.1. All works fine, but Xcode simulator. Got this when trying to launch: Full crash log: I was caught this before (with 10.10.4), so was fixed with kernel update. Any ideas about again raise? UPD: after some fun with LLDB I found a reason: csops syscall returns CS_RESTRICT flag. May be an issue in kernel code. When manually clean this flag (by LLDB) before check Simulator starts normally. UPD2: same issue with 10105R1 kernel.
  5. Did you placed FakeSMC.kext & NullCPUPowerManagement.kext in /S/L/E?
  6. Works for me (boot, login, PS/Chrome/Steam/XCode), will test it longer.
  7. Remember it's development topic, and 10.9.5 still unstable for AMD. And best way to help developers - report bugs/issues and (if you can) donate. 10.8.4 kernel was stable & sync, but whitescreen.
  8. ...so, I can't It just gone when I upgraded from 10.8.4 (which had whitescreen bug) to 10.9.5. Nothing was changed but kernel & OS version. One note - I use clover in UEFI-mode, not legacy/MBR. OK, now I found first issue - fast clock It runs faster then real time, not much, just for 20-30 minutes per day. I wasn't detect it at begin of use 'cause I shutted down my PC for night, but, when uptime raised to 3-4 days, it became more noticeable.
  9. Okay, I'll try to update PS and try workarounds. Is opemu in "todo" for this kernel? UPD: After workarounds both PS and Illustrator works. But Illustrator crashes in "image tracing" (same issue was on 10.8). Same binaries works correctly on my MBP. So, I think it's kernel issue... There is crashlog (if it will help).
  10. Confirm BSA_10.9.5_FX_rc1 is stable. Full working boot, QE/CI and two days on two PCs (see configs in subscript) without any issues (also "whitescreen" bug is gone). Only thing is PS_CS6 crashes cause SSSE3 is not supported. Is it correct?

Stuck on boot log - what's wrong?

Hello, @all. Now I have HackOSX 10.8.4 on my PC. AMD FX-8150 / ASRock 880GMH/U3S3 / 12GB RAM / 2TB SATA3 SSHD / ATI Radeon HD7770 / MacOS 10.8.4 / Clover UEFI r2939 And today I think - "it's time to upgrade!" So now, I was: 1. Downloaded original Install DMG of 10.9.4 (13E28) 2. Downloaded latest kernel (by deekay) 3. Built USB stick with BaseSystem.dmg, copied "Packages", replaced mach_kernel and kexts from archive. 4. Placed FakeSMC and NullCPUPowerManagement into /S/L/E/ 5. Rebooted, selected USB in Clover, and... nothing. After boot log, my current 10.8.4 starts showing GUI, but 10.9.4 freezes and does nothing (not lags - I was wait for 10+ minutes) So, what I tried after (and it's not helps): 1. Replaced SMBios data in clover to newer MacPro5.1 (it was MacPro3.1) 2. Boot flags (arch=x86_64, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, -x, and in combinations) My clover is r2939 (boots directly from UEFI), and config you may see on Pastebin. Any ideas? UPD: video of bootup process

    True UEFI Clover-based USB stick

So, I fixed it. Created fat16 (sic!) fs on EFI partition (from SystemRescueCD). Now shell works OK and clover boots. But 'bcfg' command not exists. Will google for another shell... If anyone has it - please give a link...
