  1. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Not normal. I get it too, extremely poor GPU performance in some apps, like this one and mainstage, along with electrical noise. Does everyone get this?>
  2. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

I've also updated to 10.8.3 and my Shell screensaver works now too. The noises are still there (esp. loud on battery) and redrawing the user interface in Mainstage 2.2. is still a bit laggy.
  3. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I've update to 10.8.3 and my OpenGLEV specs match yours now. The Shell screensaver works now too, but the noises are still there and redrawing the user interface in Mainstage 2.2. is still a bit laggy.
  4. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Hi GhostRaider. I followed your guide and have QE enabled (I think). But I can't open the "shell" screensaver and redrawing the user interface in Mainstage 2.2. is laggy. I ran "OpenGL Extensions Viewer 4.0" but the details are different to your screenshot. Mine says OpenGL version "2.1 APPLE-8.0.61" But yours says "2.1 INTEL-8.10.44" If I click on compatibility and change it to core the program quits. The laptop also "chirps" and whines while OpenGL is being used. Any ideas? I'm on 10.8.2 and my system otherwise is great, I get no CPU spikes while the GFX lags.
  5. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Just a quick update: Mainstage 2.2.2 goes fullscreen without errors and no longer hangs on initializing graphics. However redrawing the interface is laggy and makes the "chirping noise".
  6. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

The chirping sound (coil whine?) only happens when the GFX card starts working on something. Interestingly, the noise is twice as loud when running on battery, not plugged in. When I open Mainstage 2.0 it gets stuck on "initializing graphics", but I can still open a new project. Redrawing elements inside mainstage, eg. adjusting graphic eq. is laggy, but the cpu usage doesnt go up. Going to fullscreen in Mainstage doesnt work (I get scrambled screen for a second, then full screen mode exits). However, if I change resolution to 1024x768 and then reselect my native 1366x768, full screen works OK.
  7. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Me too! I get crazy coil whine sounds in OS X but now windows.
  8. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Could anyone speculate why natit.kext is needed for some people? I get never ending spinning wheel if I dont use it.
  9. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

For some reason I can't preview it, just stays black. When I look at a report from OpenGL Extensions Viewer, it tell me there is No support for compiled vertex arrays - means nothing to me. All tests complete OK in OpenGL Extensions Viewer and my install seems stable...
  10. GJ mnorthern Just a quick question, do I need ACPI BACKLIGHT kext if I just want to try the wake-from-sleep backlight fix? Also is it feasable for somebody to write an app/gui which finds out our graphics BAR0 register and auto patches a DSDT?
  11. Thanks mate, great guide - worked perfectly on T510 onboard GFX only model. To get Quartz Extreme and custom res, follow this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286092-guide-1st-generation-intel-hd-graphics-qeci/ To get screen working after sleep, follow this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287133-guide-backlight-brightness-for-intel-80860046-1st-gen-hd-gma-5700mhd/
  12. Joshhh's instructions didnt work for me as I would get FakeSMC Kernel Panics on boot. I got installed using this guide http://www.insanelym...el-hd-graphics/ and Joshhhh's kexts and DSTD The QE fixes I linked to earlier did work so I now have full quartz extreme and custom resolutions without nvidai card. Can anyone tell me if I should remove the nvidia entries in Joshhh DSTD???
  13. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

+1 I finally got QE with your FB and the natit kext on my Thinkpad T510 {onboard GFX only model} . The only thing not working is one of the built in screensavers on Mountain Lion: "Shell" The other screensavers work, and my system shows all signs of QE being enabled such as Zoom effect when logging on, chess game working, water effect when adding widget to dashboard. I was wondering if the problem with the Shell screensaver indicates a wider problem with QE? I should also mention that my LCD baklight doesn't come on when waking from sleep, but I am about to start fixing that one.
  14. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Sorry to be a noob, but I have tried this and each time get the ouput "could not open file AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB" The files are in the same folder, GFX on my desktop 10.8.0
  15. AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB fixed (SL 10.6.8)

Has anybody got this working on a Lenovo Thinkpad T410/T510 with onboard GFX only?
