  1. hello, i am kind of new to this scene... i've done a few things but i'm no expert. i installed 10.5.8 from netkas (i believe... maybe it was jas...)on a PC with the next specs: gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard intel core 2 duo 6600 4GB kingston DDR2 hyperx RAM 80Gb HDD gigabye nvidia 8800 320Mb everything is running fine right now (except for digital spdif audio which i can't figure out, but that's another thing) and i want to upgrade to snow leopard 10.6.2 so i can keep up with protools future versions. I've read a few tutorials online, but most of them require another clean HDD or an efi partition (which i don't have...) so any advice on how to do it from the same installation HDD without having to format and without an EFI partition would be greatly appreciated thank you very much
  2. Brand New iphone 4G

i don't really like the design right now... but maybe when it's out i start to like it... anyways i really want to know the hardware specs, if they pack a 1ghz+ and 512mb of ram into it we may be talking big future for iphone here....
  3. it may not be logic but i have protools running under mbox 2 pro (it's firewire) with no problems... i am running 10.5.8 with netkas i believe. i had no problems when i installed only thing was that USB and firewire devices that were not connected during boot up would not be recognized but then i applied a patch that i found on this forums and now everything is working fine good luck with it
  4. hi, i everyone, i have a problem with booting macos, all the installation goes perfectly fine, no errors, but when it asks me to restart and i do it, right after firewire detection it goes with the message "still waiting for root device". i went to the wiki and it says my motherboard (GA-965P-DQ6) is supported i'm trying to install it on a 80Gb segate SATA HD my specs: GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard (intel 965p chipset) core 2 duo 6600 @ 2.4Ghz 2Gb RAM nvidia 8800 320Mb (manufacturer gigabyte) these are the basics, apart from this i've got an Mbox 2 pro connected via firewire and a SMC wireless usb card i don't know where to start looking to fix this if someone could lend me a hand out i will truly apreciate it :glare: greets Problem solved
