  1. Hey yeah, i decided to wait for haswell and to see what apple releases for their new mac pro line. So after this is all released Ill then rethink my build.
  2. So, I have been doing a lot of research on hackintoshes and have definitely decided that I am going to build one. I just have a few questions thought. 1) With the new mac pro coming out soon, do you think it will support haswell? 2)if the new mac pro does not support haswell, will i be able to build a hack with a haswell processor? (i am guessing now) 3)Is apple going to release a new OS? something like OSX "Sea Lion"? 11.0 sometime soon?? 4)If i were to build a hack now, and lets say apple does release a 11.0 OSX, do you think I will be able to update? or will apple pull some {censored} that wont let us upgrade from 10.x.x to 11.0? 5) I have been following PC component prices for about 2 or 3 months now and I have noticed MicroCenter has amazing prices for the i5 3570k and the i7 3770k. Has MicroCenter always had amazing deals on their processors? if so, could we predict that they will have an amazing price for a haswell? Because an i7-3770k is a great deal for $229, id rather have the i7 than a haswell for $350-$400 for only a 10% cpu improvement (i will ahve a discrete gpu) so i dont care about the improved integrated graphics. 6) also, any news on any new type of mobos coming out to support haswell? or just new mobos in general from gigabyte or asus? Thanks Sorry for all the questions.
  3. GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5 TH or ASUS P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT? http://www.newegg.co...ID=4902415&SID= http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813131853 Could someone tell me the difference between these two? Which would you recommend? Which is a more friendly with a hackintosh? Does the sleep/audio/usb 3.0/hdmi/ethernet work on both? What does not work on these boards? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between the: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT and the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155??? Thank you in advanced for your help. I appreciate it.
  4. may I ask why you recommend the UD5-TH?
  5. Is this mother board GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB WiFi stable with hackintoshes? Ive been looking here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.8.2#Gigabyte and it doesnt seem to be listed. any thoughts? I would like to go with the newest gigabyte mobo with the integrated wifi. difference between the GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB Wifi vs. GA-Z77X-UD3H? I notice that the UD3H is much cheaper and Ive compared the two mobos on newegg, but dont really see that much of a difference.
  6. ahh i did not know the 650 and below are fermi based. THANK YOU! yeah i guess im gonna end up going with the 660ti. Do you know the difference between the 660 and the 660ti?
  7. Thank you rampage dev for you feed back. But wouldnt the 660ti almost cost double? Im not really a big gamer, but i do game every now and then. Mainly just want to be able to support 2 or 3 monitors.
