  1. I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "have u disable in bios the intel hd from cpu ?" Ps thank you for your response and help!
  2. Okay, thank you for trying to help. I really appreciate it!
  3. Yeah there was no soldering. The original bios is what I ran OS X on with no problems and as far as I know this is the same version of the BIOS.
  4. I am using legacy mode and as far as I'm aware it is the same version of the BIOS. I could be wrong. Also, I was using the original BIOS. I tried to install a patched BIOS I found on this site somewhere for my motherboard and that's when it messed up and Asus told me that I would have to buy a new chip. I'm honestly not sure what you mean? I just popped the old BIOS chip out and then popped in the new one.
  5. Yeah, the same thing happened. Hopefully someone will know what's going on. I really don't want to install windows again...
  6. Haha yes sorry the info in my sig is all correct.
  7. I have the SATA mode set to AHCI
  8. Okay, so my BIOS got corrupted so I had to order a new BIOS. I installed the chip just now, changed the settings to what they where when I used to be able to boot up and then went to boot up and I get this error. So, I figured what I needed to do was boot up from the flash drive again and use the terminal and enter these commands to retransfer the files. cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/"OS X"/System/Library/Extensions/ cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/FakeSMC.kext /Volumes/"OS X"/System/Library/Extensions/ But when I try to boot up to the USB I get this Ps. I've tried it with and "-v", "-v GraphicsEnabler=No" and "-v GraphicsEnabler=Yes" I get the same error every time. \ Next comes the lovely beach ball of death... Am I forgetting a step?
  9. P8H67-M Pro

Okay so I have my hack up and running for the most part. The only big issue that I'm still having is that I can't seem to get audio. I have a P8H67-M Pro/CSM Rev 3.0 motherboard. I got the ethernet to work by using a patch found here. And I thought the audio kexts would work too but they're not. I'm probably don't something but I'm not sure what. I'm still a complete noob when it comes to hackintosh so I'm a little lost. I've found a patched BIOS for my mobo here and I read that that could fix the problem but that flashing a patched BIOS could also cause problems. From what I understand a kext is a kernel extension and basically just like a driver for windows. So I feel like that's what I should be looking for. Not modding my BIOS but I may be wrong.. Here is a link to my mobo specs and it says that for the audio it uses a Realtek ALC 892 so I've looked and found kexts for the and used the kext installer found in the "Essential - 03.08.12.zip" found but it hasn't worked. Do I need to enable something to have the kext take effect? Thank you in advance for any help offered. PS. Sorry, I meant to put "P8H67-M Pro No Audio". as the topic title
  10. Beach Ball of Death

Okay, so everything seems to be working perfect except for the fact that I have no internet. I have tried it both with "Ethernet Built In" turned off and turned on.
  11. Beach Ball of Death

And now I feel dumb... haha sorry
  12. Beach Ball of Death

Lol I know what the root folder is. I just can't find it. I also can't find Terminal or the DiskUtility.
  13. Beach Ball of Death

Okay, so -v -x GraphicsEnabled=Yes got me in I just got it set up and now I'm trying to finish what is in the install guide and I can't find the root folder. So I did a little googling and it said that you can open it with terminal so I go to spotlight and try to open terminal and it doesn't find anything. Go to Applications and no terminal there either? Did I do something wrong or do I need to enable something. I went to spotlight settings and everything is checked.
  14. Beach Ball of Death

I had to boot -V GraphicsEnabled=Yes for it to do anything when I selected the SSD I installed hackintosh on. So, should I boot -x -v GraphicsEnabled=Yes or just -v -x?
  15. Beach Ball of Death

Okay, so I'm getting the beach ball of death again... lol
