  1. I couldn't find any HDMI related stuff I had enabled in clover. But this led me to investigate NvidiaGraphicsFixup. It has just been replaced by an updated version of WhateverGreen, and once I removed the old NvidiaGraphicsFixup, Shikii and lilu kexts and added the new lilu and WhateverGreen, my boot is now much faster! Thanks again MaLd0n!
  2. Hello again, I think everything is working, but the boot is very very slow. I've managed to get a clean vanilla High Sierra installed after I worked out why clover wasn't installing the bootloader properly. I've noticed 3 or 4 potential problems from the verbose output. 1. I get this error from lilu Lilu: file @ failed to find /private/var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64h.map 2. I get an AppleSSE error in boot: AssertMacros: value (value: 0x0), file: /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleSSE/AppleSSE-116.70.10/AppleSSE/AppleSSE.cpp, line: 34 3. I get this error straight after: kernel: (pmtelemetry) Unsupported CPU kernel: (pmtelemetry) Unsupported CPU kernel: (pmtelemetry) Unsupported PCH 4. The system waits here for ages on each boot: kernel: busy timeout[0], (60s): 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction' kernel: busy timeout[1], (60s): 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction' kernel: busy timeout[2], (60s): 'IOHDACodecFunction', 'IOHDACodecFunction' kernel: busy extended ok[3], (60s, 207s) Can you point me in the right direction for fixes for this?

Clover problems report & features request

Hello, I have a quick question. What was the last clover release to use fdisk440 to install the bootloader files for non uefi boot? I have had some trouble getting clover to install and boot on an old ga-x58a-ud3r, and was going mad trying to figure it out. I tried an older version (r4128) of clover and it worked. I noticed in the install logs that r4128 used fdisk440 but r4586 tried to use dd. For now, it works is I install r4128 first (just the bootloader) and then immediately install r4586 (full install) after it. Also, is this a bug or is this intended behaviour after removing the "legacy boot" parts of clover? Thanks!
  4. Hello again MaLd0n, I gave up on dual booting with windows - just couldn't get windows to stop deactivating my keyboard in clover EFI! I've decided to reuse my old home server as a macosx box for now. It has a gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r v1.0 motherboard with the latest bios, a xeon x5650, 6gb of RAM and a Geforce 210. Not fantastic specs for a modern desktop, but it should all be compatible. I've installed Sierra 10.12.6. I had terrible trouble trying to make a mbr usb key with the bootloader correctly installed. I eventually had to use the beastly tools from the site that mustn't be named to install the bootloader on my usb drive and on my boot ssd, but once that was done I did a vanilla install. I've modified the firmware for my intel network card so it is detected by the native driver. My nvidia card caused me lots of stress, which was all because i was trying to use the dvi output and macos wanted me to use the hdmi output. That wasted hours of fruitless troubleshooting. I think most things are working at the moment except for audio, but I'm sure there's lots of little errors that could be cleaned up with a proper DSDT. Also, the boot process takes ages at the moment. I've attached the "send me" zip to this message. Thanks for your ongoing help with all this! Phil Send me Philips-iMac.homenetwork.drphilth.com.zip
  5. Many thanks again - Nearly working! Had a small delay because my NVIDIA card had to be RMAd... I have 3 small problems. The keyboard and mouse don't work on the clover screen. When the computer tries to sleep, it gets as far as power down and then immediately starts again When I boot into OSX, for some reason my RAM profile in the BIOS resets to a slower speed. Any idea how I can solve these?
  6. Hello MaLd0n, Thanks for your easy to follow guide. I'm following these instructions on a system with a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H, 16Gb RAM, Core i5 4670K. OSX is installed on a 120GB OCZ Vertex SSD. I intend to dual boot with windows 10. Graphics at present are the integrated intel GPU, but once everything is stable the plan is to put my GeForce 1060 back into the system. The audio isn't working at the moment, but everything else is working well enough for me to be able to send this message from within OSX. I've attached my clover folder, and "send me" zip. IOReg is too big to attach but the dropbox link is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/etmgb1grycw7uqx/IOReg.zip?dl=0 Hope you can help me get this fine tuned and ready for use!
