    Irritating ST20G5 issue

After sifting through many Posts aross Insanelymac Forums I've finally got my Shuttle ST20G5 functioning. Booting from a LaiCie 500 gig USB HDD. As IDE goes slow and Sata needs drivers. However now the little nuissance is that to boot from the USB HDD, Windows has to be booted (minute or two ) and restarted so as Bios recognizes USB HDD. Once changed in Bios Tiger boots in a matter of seconds... Anyone know how to get Shuttle to always recognize USB HDD ? Many thanks to everyone helping to get to this stage, it's a real gem once it's booted, Theo

    Graphics Issue

Thanks Rzk, worked a charm. I'll eventually use a different release as well if that's where the problem arose from. Thank you both, Theo

    Graphics Issue

Hello. recently bought Asus A8V-VM SE and Nvidia 7300 GS PCIe with 256MB specifically to create a Mac system ... expecting installation to be straight forward which it was, however I still have only the one default resolution of 1024x768. Can't really appreciate Mac OS without 1280x1024 on my LCD. Everything else went perfectly using TubGirl's latest amd release, installing onto an IDE HDD, all goes pretty fast. I've tried Natit 0.1 and 0.2 to no Joy. Also tried Titan with no Joy either... Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've bought this relatively cheap hardware to get MAC OSX going how it should be, and I don't wish it to be bought in Vain. Thank you, Theo

    VMware installation problem

I have a Shuttle ST20G5 and so SATA drivers aren't in the installation dvd. I've therefore been trying to follow the Wiki installation guide to installing using VMware where I'd then Install the drivers once installed and then boot from Sata drive. However I'm having difficulties following it. After setting up VM then editing config files as tutorials show, I get this error message when trying to start the Vm: File not found: C:\Users\Theo\Documents\Virtual Machines\FreeBSD\FreeBSD.vmdk This file is required to power on this virtual machine. If this file was moved please provide its new Location. I then browse for it, select it and it gives me this very same message. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure it's just a small thing I'm overlooking. Thanks, Theo

Shuttle ST20G5 is now mostly functional

Thank you again. Audio and Sata worked perfectly which is great. However after loading the Network driver, I'm unable to boot OS X... I'm pretty sure I loading .kexts properly. Can you suggest anything I should try ?

Thank you for this. I've been having difficulties rounding up everything for my shuttle. I'll give it a go.

    Almost there ...

I'd like to say thank you to everyone at OSX86, I'm really looking forward to getting it going on my pc. I have a Shuttle st20g5 and have looked through topics that have talked about problems with this Shuttle, but none relate to mine. Unfortunately. The installation goes okay. On a 60 Gig IDE that I originally set up dual booting with Vista and then once this problem occured it's been the only OS I've been trying to install. After installation, on first boot, loading will hang after a couple minutes of grey screen with apple. Reading code when loading it hangs on 'Login Started' or something similar, yet it doesn't report an error. Just freezes. Other specs are AMD X2 3800+ IDE 60gig Sata 180gig Integrated graphics of Radeon 200. Any help would be great. I'd really like to get OS X going and will persist untill then ! Thank you.
