Really slow internet / download speeds in OS X

Brilliant! Fixed it for me too! Cheers
  2. Well my Hackintosh is finally up and running and it seems to be great! The only real issue im finding is a slow internet connection? Im not in a position to try the ethernet connection and see if its just the wifi causing the problem unfortunately. I went down the route of buying a macbook pro card off ebay and mounting it in the PCI adapter. As I said, it works fine, doesn't drop off and is really stable...it's just slow! Ive included a snapshot of my system profile, and wondered if anyone could cast an eye over it and make sure everythings ok.

    Powermac G5 Fans

Thanks very much! I'm probably going to reuse the PSU ones as they're pretty much out of site but will be replacing the back two and the front hotswap. May not bother with the speaker one, just leave it sat in there and see how my temps look

    Powermac G5 Fans

I was going to reuse all the old frames and keep it as original as possible. Right down to the hotswap fans and fix something up to keep them hotswap Nice mod!

    Powermac G5 Fans

Compiling parts for my G5 mod I had intended to reuse the existing fans at 5v but after reading a fair few posts about noise I've decided to order some new ones. Looked around but can't seem to see sizes apart from the back two. Can anyone give me a list of fans and the sizes? Cheers for any help!

    Searching for paint can

Have you tried eBay? Or we have paint matching places here in the UK? Obviously try matching on the bottom parts before the on show stuff!
  7. Ive just ordered some parts to have a go with this. Ive gone for a breadboard option though so it will involve a bit more soldering, but I don't mind. Ive done this by buying a DVI Bracket (also had a VGA space), twisted off the two 4/40 screw holders on the side, push the DVI plug through the hole and then rescrewed in the holders.

  11. Looking at buying the parts for my G5 Hackintosh and finding varying prices between online retailers and auction sites. Just wondered if any of the brits had any good recommendations of stores I can try? Cheers

[Discussion] Fit a PC in a G5 PowerMac Enclosure!

Its interesting to see how people have been going about the back plate without making any cuts. Im planning on using a mini ATX board and making a new back I/O and soldering cables off that to plug straight into the motherboard.
