Hey guys, Any MBR patch yet? wws12
  2. I just wanted to bump this thread and post the laptop specs so if anyone is looking to help they can know at-a-glance whether a certain component will work or not. 3. Hey, thanks for the reply. I assume this bootflag is for enabling the HD 4000 graphics? Also, were you able to get audio working on this system? VoodooHDA or AppleHDA?
  4. Where is the thread for AMD support with this kernel? Thanks, wws12
  5. Hey, I want to install Mavericks on my Toshiba Satellite C55-A5285. It has a Core i3-3120m processor and Intel HD 4000 graphics. Do I need to do anything else besides GraphicsEnabler=Yes in Chameleon to make this fully functional? Perhaps audio, or sleep? Thanks as always, wws12

    10.9 GM Released.

Could someone tell me how to update from DP8 to the GM? I originally downloaded DP1 from imzdl.com and installed on my MBR drive on a new partition. Since then, I have been updating through the MAS to every subsequent DP. I downloaded the GM dmg from imzdl.com today but I am unsure how to install it without screwing up my partition map. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, wws12
  7. For the function keys, try opening Keyboard settings and looking around in there. Same with Display Settings for the HDMI/VGA output. If you don't have HPET as an option in your BIOS, that is almost certainly the source of your battery/sleep problems. Do you have a traditional yellow text on blue background BIOS, or is it modified by the manufacturer? Regards, wws12
  8. OK. First of all, what version of OS X are yourunning. I need to know that before I can help you with anything else Ethernet you probably will need a kext for it. Try this one http://www.osx86.net/view/3053-j_micron_jmc250_ethernet.html Function keys, I will investigate that. Please clarify what "screen brightness and battery doesn't work" means. Do you mean you can't boot up without AC power? What happens when you try to use the HDMI/VGA port? Is anything displayed in DIsplay Settings? Sleep of death could be a BIOS setting or a Power Management configuration issue. Please post your power settings and make sure HPET is set to 64-bit in the BIOS. Regards, wws12
  9. This may not be the right section, so feel free to move it moderators Hello! I am offering help with hackintoshes. If you need help installing or configuring any version of OS X, Snow Leopard or higher including 10.9 Mavericks, I can assist you! I am familiar with the hackintoshing process and enjoy it as a hobby. I even wrote a guide for another hackintosh website that you can read here. http://www.osx86.net/home/429-beginner-s-guide-hackintoshing.html That guide was made by me, wws12, and covers installing Snow Leopard in a basic form. I will do my best to help you. Thanks, wws12

    Pandora's Box (Beta 2 Testing)

Does the new update have built in MBR patching? Or will I still need a different method?

OS X 10.9 myHack USB Installer Beta

Hey guys, don't know if you knew this, but Micky gave this to me over on the Pandora's Box Beta 2 thread. Just replace OSInstall.mpkg and OSInstall with these files after you create the flash drive with myhack 2 beta 8 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/99-mavericks-mbr-patch/

    Pandora's Box (Beta 2 Testing)

Wow thanks! One question, how would I use this on a USB drive with 10.9 made with myHack beta 8? Or is there an easier way? Only have one OS X partition.

Not sure if serious, or just trolling.
