You should move your thread to the Mac section...

Mavericks dates back to 2013 and reached end of life at the end of 2016. It carries no support for recent generations of hardware so answer is no. Coffee Lake platforms are supported from High Sierra only.

If an operating system may carry support for older hardware (obviously up to a certain limit), an old obsolete operating system cannot support newer hardware it was never updated for. It will lack kernel support and drivers for the newer chipsets, CPUs, GPUs, controllers, etc.

    Hi,
some OS X Apps already use CUDA (must be installed extra, Nvidia gpus only!!) , like Squeeze 7, Mathematica, Toast 11 for h.264 encoding export also.

I found an great CUDA-Z Tool which shows much informations and also has an small benchmarks (VRAM speed, PCI-E VRAM Speed,..) within.

EDIT: New Beta 0.11.259 Version available!
Added DL Link and new screenshoots of my 9600GT / 10.8.2
New version shows more details about CUDA and gpu card.
GPU GHz + VRAM GHz are max+fixed values (like using OpenCL info) and can´t be used to check AGPM.

I'm waiting for someone to post the first "How do I install Mac OS X El Capitan on my AMD?" I can literally see it happening very soon.

FYI for fellow AMD users, we will only see this being worked on when the source from Apple gets released, and with their rate maybe early next year!

EDIT: Instead I got a PM message

    Snow Leopard 10.6.8 / Mavericks 10.9.0 / Mavericks 10.9.1

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M56S-S3 Rev. 1
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.00GHz

    Chipset: nVidia nForce 560
    Graphics: nVidia GeForce GT 640 2048MB DDR3
Graphics on 10.9.0.-10.9.1 works with Dual Displays in full HD resolution (2xHDMI or 1xHDMI and 1xDVI) (VGA ports do not work at all)
Graphics on 10.6.8 works with adding Natit.kext
    Audio: Realtek ALC888
Audio 2: M-Audio Fast Track II
LAN Internet: Tenda Repeater working with LAN cable
    Bootloader: The newest Chameleon
Kernel for 10.9.0-10.9.1: Sineteks v6_kernel or any kernel from Bronzovka or Andy (almost every kernel boot to the desktop)
Kernel for 10.6.8: Nawcom Legacy Kernel v1 or Legacy Kernel v2
    Boot flags with 10.9.0: npci=0x2000
    Boot flags with 10.9.1: npci=0x2000 -f
    Boot flags with 10.6.8: arch=i386 arch=x86_64 PCIRootUID=1

Mavericks is more functional and less problematic than Snow Leopard. Almost everything works perfect.
I did not try the onboard Audio becuase I've got Audio Interface from M-Audio.
    AppStore = working
    iTunes = working
    iMessage = seems to work
iCloud = I have no time to check this and I will report back later

This worked like a charm for 10.10.3, with one minor caveat.

The rollback IOPCIFamily.kext causes a kernel panic when Mieze's RealtekRTL8111 driver is loaded. YMMV, but I restored the 10.10.3 IOPCIFamily.kext and everything works well. I'm using version 2.0.0d1 of RealtekRTL8111.kext from here.

    My computer specs:
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
    CPU: AMD FX-6300
    GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 760

It should also be noted that all of my USB devices work as well (Blue Snowball, Logitech G930 headset, Logitech K360 keyboard, Logitech M510 mouse).

If you don't have a Windows partition, you can actually do this fairly easily.

    1. Copy the kexts from Yo.zip to /Extra/Extensions (if using Chameleon, Clover users need to do it the Clover way)
    2. Copy the kernel from Yo.zip to /kernel (not /S/L/K/kernel just yet)
    3. Repair permissions (if you used Kext Wizard for step 1 you can skip this step)
    4. Install 10.10.3 combo update and reboot
    5. At the boot loader (again if using Chameleon, Clover users you're on your own here), type "/kernel" followed by whatever flags you need to boot
    6. At this stage, Mac OS X will rebuild the Kext Cache automatically as part of the update process. It may reboot once, in which case do the previous step again
    7. Once the system is booted completely, move /kernel to /S/L/K/kernel, overwriting the 10.10.3 stock kernel
    8. Repair permissions again, and reboot
    9. Profit!

If you haven't got full QE/CI then you should do this:

Try to boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No.

If that not help, boot with verbose mode and check if the that info is showing NVDAGF100HAL loaded and registered.
When it's loaded then it's good. Try to edit AppleGraphicsPowerManagament.kext and add your nvidia card in proper section (your model of mac, I believe it's Mac Pro 3,1). If you did it good, you will see the AGMP.kext is loaded too in verbose mode.

P.S. What do you mean graphical problem dialog? Screen?

In the picture I can see that your hack has enabled your graphics. Below the monitor icon you have the name of your card, so you do not need to edit your AGPM.kext for now. I believe that you've got full QE/CI. You can try to preview the screensaver and if it's working, you've got full QE/CI.
I don't know this error from your screenshot so you need to wait for another user to help you

Strange... In your Bios settings have you set the HDD's to AHCI mode?
Have you got DSDT? Did you try to set busratio on Chameleon boot?

You can try also with these flags:
PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 / npci=0x3000  (PCIRootUID=1 is generaly for Gigabyte motherboards, but you can try to add this flag)

You can set the busratio just write it down on boot. The flag is busratio=xx. This link will help you http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/240542-guide-getting-your-busratio/?p=1606761
But I believe the busratio is included with the newest kernels

I asked you for DSDT because I though you have one and this is the reason why you can not get to the Yosemite OSX. DSDT is not necessary on AMD stations, but if you want to make one you need read some threads about it. Guys from these threads should help you do it your own DSDT if you asked them.

But I am little confused because I don't know why you have PCI configuration begin...

EDIT: You can also try different kernels from the main thread about Yosemite kernel testing

Okay, I check this on my hack. Try to delete folder "modules" from your "Extra" folder and try to boot with these flags:
    -v kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000 -f (first try to boot without kext-dev-mode)

My Chameleon version is 2549 (You can also try Enoch bootloader instead of Chameleon if you can't boot)

On the KP screenshot I can see that you've got nonsense flags used: arch=x86_64 and ext-dev-mode=1. Delete the chameleon.boot.plist from your Extra and enter the flags manually ONLY for now. Do not use arch=x86_64 because it's unnecessary. You can use kext=dev-mode=1 instead of ext-dev-mode...

FakeSMC is a good lead, you can try another versions od FakeSMC

    I'll tell you why opcode64

Why do some people have and some people do not

That is the Sysenter/Syscall return Address error

Some people may use different versions kext cause problems

For example, the display driver using an older OS kext

Because I had originally intended to compile 32bit system I found that all the relevant opcode errors related sysenter

32 bit is the best way to use the patch

If using a similar  10.6.3 32-bit Kernel sysenter dyld Add Source correction mode slow with only cause instability

    So I renounce 10.5-10.7 32-bit xnu Building
Also found opcode64 / 32 problem is sysenter

So if there are problems opcode64/32 error

Should first check to your own add kext

and Try using a Mac original kext

    10.10 UDP to 10.10.2

this is pthread Function pthread_init updates  kernel 10.10 Not with update
must use the old Function pthread_init

SO  The key is pthread.kext  not IOPCIFamily.kext

IOPCIFamily.kext Patch Nothing to do with upgrade
    This is misleading

new graphics card Users do not need IOPCIFamily.kext Patch

    AND
I Ignore intel original CPU Support.
i3 i5 i7 Xeon can use the original kernel

    AMD kernel add Support i3 i5 i7
    I think it is superfluous

Because a lot of intel source is modified In BSD section
Even while support may also have problems
