  1. Hey everyone!, First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm not sure if it is or isn't. So I've finally decided to try out building my own Mac: below is what I'm thinking for the build. Things I will get: Motherboard: GA Z97 D3H Processor: Intel Core i3-4360 OR Intel Core i5-4460 Power supply: Corsair CS 550 Watt Modular Case: Corsair Carbide 300R Things I have already: 6GB DDR3 RAM 1TB HDD 500 GB HDD Internal DVD Drive Now, I'm looking to get this working with OS X Yosemite. Does everything look to be compatible? I'm going to be using it as my main system for xCode and just as my overall computer. I would like to dual boot it with OS X Yosemite and Windows 7/8. Another issue I'm concerned about is the new handoff/continuity feature. Does that look good to go with my build? As far as Xcode is concerned and causal web browsing and MS office, do you guys think the core i3 will do good for me or should I go for the i5? I'm looking to upgrade to a graphics card later on but not at the moment so if someone could recommend one that isn't too expensive and will work with my build that would be cool. And lastly, I'm really hoping to get Bluetooth working with this so I did look at a IOGear Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter Would it possibly work with Yosemite Thanks for the help in advance and I'm sorry for the long post!
  2. About This Mac logs me out

I have UEFI enabled. Why should it be disabled. I don't have the option for fast boot in my bios. Any other suggestions.

  5. Hey, So i finally got my pc setup with Mountain Lion with everything working except booting. Well, i installed the bootloader (tired many of them) but my system would still say no operating system found. Then, all of a sudden when I was giving up and reinstalling Win 7 I put the install disk in and turned on my PC. Then the screen came up with the usual press any key to boot from DVD but i didn't do that in time and for some reason it goes to the bootloader & I can boot to OS X! But when i take out the disk I can't boot and it says the no operating system found error again! Please help me i am so close to finishing this setup. Thank You! Specs: Intel Core i3 Processor 2.2GHz 6GB DDR3 RAM (Had this hard drive) 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive; now i have 500GB western digital 7200RPM 24-Inch Screen, Intel HD Graphics 3000 It's an all in one computer by the way, & the computer is a vaio vpcl231fx is that helps

  8. Hey Everyone, So I got Mountain Lion to install.... and i can't get one big thing to work. The bootloader... it just wont boot without the DVD at all. It gives the error operating system not found if i don't put the DVD in first. I thought it might be because i have a 4K hard drive sector thing (it was a 1TB hard drive) but i switched it for 500GB WD hard drive. Still no luck, i've reinstalled a million times, tried every single bootloader installer, maunally installed the bootloader as well but no luck. I'm running only OS X Mountain Lion, no other OS at all. Please help out with this Thank You!
