  1. Clover General discussion

Hey guys. I would like to report a bug with the SMBIOS. When I had r4077, I had the "Memory" tab in About This Mac window. After updating to r4200, the tab disappeared and System Info - Memory showed "Upgradable Memory: No". Then I downgraded to 4077 and the tab came back again.
  2. ATI Radeon X1600 Pro - 5MB VRAM issue

This card is really ancient and I think it's AGP. El Capitan doesn't have ATIRadeonX1000.kext, only ATIRadeonX2000.kext. My Leopard installation has it.
  3. Cannot use two CPU cores

So I have an old PC and I decided to install 10.5.8 just for fun. I installed the iDeneb distro and it works fine witl the vanilla kernel 9.8 but I can't boot without cpus=1 so I have to use only one CPU core. I tried all patched kernels with Chameleon and Clover. All result in the same issue. I suspect the issue is the patched AppleACPIPlatform.kext that I grabbed from the iAtkos 5i DVD because the kernel panic mentions it in the backtrace. Any ideas? Specs: Core 2 Duo E7500 MSI G31TM-P35 4GB DDR2 Geforce GT 430 (No QE/CI since no support in Leopard)
  4. No. It boots fine as graphics isn't injected this way. These don't work with Broadwell. Already tried.
  5. That's because I can't boot if AppleIntelBDWGraphics.kext is installed. That kext provides graphics acceleration.
  6. Already tried that zillions of times. It still remains an unknown problem.
  7. Intel HD 5500 - Sierra (PANIC EVEN AFTER PATCH!)

You have a desktop with a laptop CPU. Your ig-platform-id is correct. Try this patch too: Kext name: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer Find: 00002002 00005001 Replace: 00003001 00009000 MatchOS: 10.12.x Please note that it's a better idea to change the DVMT pre-allocated memory to 96MB istead of patching the framebuffer.
  8. Broadwell Intel HD5500 won't start

I looked at the photo again and I noticed "kextd wait 'IGPU'". Are your graphics kexts vanilla?
  9. Panic CPU error (os sierra install)

Hi there and congratulations. Does this mobo have a Broadcom wifi card?
  10. Hi there. What is your motherboard model? Mine is 81EF and BIOS version is F.13.
  11. Make sure the DVMT pre-allocated VRAM is set on 64MB or 96MB in the BIOS (DO NOT use Windows to check it as it's not very reliable). Then open your Clover config.plist and in the Graphics section select Inject Intel and ig-platform-id 0x16260006. Reboot and graphics should work. If you can't change the DVMT and it's set on 32MB, kernel panic will happen if you try to boot with correct graphics injection settings. For that you need to use the minStolenSize patch by RehabMan that patches the Framebuffer kext to bypass the assertion.
  12. Broadwell Intel HD5500 won't start

Do the following: 1. Make a backup of AppleIntelBDWGraphics.kext to your desktop 2. Delete the kext from /System/Library/Extensions 3. Boot with a valid ig-platform-id 0x16160002 or 0x16260006 You should have your GPU and display recognized by the system (1536 MB VRAM etc) but with no QE/CI acceleration. Let me know what happens.
