  1. Hi owbp. Thanks for your reply. Looks like your idea of buying a dell cpu will do a good deal, anyways will search and see. Could you please mention few Dell CPU models that work good for OSX.
  2. Thanks vusun123. I've already did online search but no one is selling these basic cards. Could you please let me know the next models ? FYI I have $30-$50 for graphic card in my mind for now.
  3. Hi poke Thanks. How are you? Hope you remember me ! Would you suggest any cheap discrete graphics? I wouldn't mind to buy one if I can mange within the budget.
  4. Hi Guys I'm back after almost over a year to this forum. As I always say I enjoy a lot being here Thanks to all whoever still remember me and without them it would have been very hard for me to learn things here. Alright guys, Its now time for me to build new Hackintosh CPU under $250 budget and I desperately need help in choosing the hardware and need few suggestions to pick my choice. First, I was living in UK for many years and never had a problem to select a online retailer to buy hardware. And also there was many options and discounts to go for. But a month ago I have to move to india for my job purpose and now here e-commerce is just a beginning as we can't find many stores selling hardware online nor giving offers. Here comes a big problem for me and however I was able to find some high street shops, grey and black market shops in which I can get hardware for decent prices. So guys please give few choices for the following hardware CPU MOBO RAM STORAGE CASE PSU If you guys want to check prices in online stores india then check in below http://Amazon.co.in http://ebay.in http://Flipkart.com http://Snapdeal.com Thanks
  5. Hi Herve, Good to speak to you after long time as I was all away from hackintoshing nearly 6months and I'm back now. Thanks for your reply and I've checked with CPUID and can confirm that SSSE3 is supported feature of E2160. And also yes you're right about the chipset which is Q35 Express chipset, not Q32. Good news for me is I've installed 10.8.2 using myhack and its my first myhack try and I succeded. But I've a small guilty feeling of myhack as I don't know what exactly the myhack does while creating USB installer and somewhere I feel like its similar tool like tmac. I would be really happy if anyone could explain that myhack is not a similar tool compared to any other hackintosh tool that are available on internet. And also I've read that many systems have been successful using myhack and I really appreciate myhack for that. I'm really sorry I'm new to this myhack and today I'm going to go with vanilla install which is my all time favourite with many systems I've installed so far. By the way, herve, how is your hackintoshing going any new projects upcoming from you. Many Thanks
  6. Hi guys I've recently bought a 755 for dead cheap and looking forward to give him a newlife, so I need our community guys help as I'm not familiar with hackintoshing old dualcore systems. Below are the specs for the system. Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160 1.8GHz CPU Intel Q32 Express chipset 3 GB DDR2 RAM (8 GB maximum) 80 GB SATA hard drive DVD±RW drive Floppy drive Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 with up to 256 MB shared memory Nvidia 8400GS Does anyone had any success installing and running mavericks or yosemite? If so could you please let me know which installation method works as I always prefer for vanilla install. As I've done some research in which few of them had problem with kexts while installing and in which they replaced them from older OSX versions. So to be honest I don't have much time to play with installation and for that reasons I'm looking for someone who had already played with it and had success, so that I can learn from there. Many ¬Thanks
  7. Hi andvoider, Welcome to insanelymac. Yes Lenovo G410 with i5 4200M and HD 4600 have latest hardware and will support mavericks installation. But make sure you check other hardware devices that comes with G410 are compatible with mavericks. Please do full research about your hardware compatibility with the version of OSX you would like to go with before you decide to do hackintoshing. Once you have done your research part then you can either start from the guide above or If you feel difficulty in using the above guide then you better follow the guide from below link. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ Do remember you must have plenty of time and patience before you start your hackintosh project. Happy Hackintoshing

From the above IDs, 0116 and 0126 are the IDs of Intel HD 3000 device commonly used in Apple MacBook Pro8.1 and Mac Mini5.1. The native OSX drivers load only if any of these two IDs are present onboard, other than these two IDs then its must changing the device ID to one of these IDs using DSDT patch. And also make sure of using the correct SMBIOS with respect to IDs. It means the 0116 ID is for MacBooK Pro8.1 and 0126ID is for mac mini 5.1. Follow the below steps to enable HD3000 1. Make sure vanilla AppleIntelGraphicsHD3000.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext are loaded. 2. Open DSDT.aml file using Macaisl or DSDTEditor application and look up for Device GFX0 or IGPU. Then find the address 0x00020000. Its should be something like this Device (GFX0) { Name (_ADR, 0x00020000) Now paste the below code exactly after the above code as shown below shown below. For Mac Mini5.1 (0126 Device ID) For MacBookPro 8.1 (0116 Device ID) Intel HD 4000/5000 HD4XXX series will be supported natively by OSX vanilla kexts. Herve, sorry r u sure is he the same person which I'm helping here. LOL Then I must stop helping as he knows lot more than me, seeing the post you have given the tutorial looks like it is written by some pro. Is Deepak pro !!!?Thanks Hi deepak ...extra folder is in below linkhttp://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?/topic/295228-Intel-HD3000&do=findComment&comment=1985312From your info I can say ur using VGA connection.. am I right? If that's correct then u might need VGA patch for HD3000. You better find a monitor with HDMI and try connecting to HDMI port and see if its working if it works then u might have to check with VGA ports. Thanks
  12. Hi guys can anyone guide me how to enable Asus X53E (M.B ver K53E) functions keys and startup brightness setup. I tried some dsdt edits form osx latitude and used kexts but nothing works. I've attached my native DSDT below. Please have a look and let me know how to proceed with it. Thanks very much Native DSDT.dsl.zip
  13. Intel HD3000

Deepak.... do you understand what ur doing ? To be honest I don't really understand what ur doing. I've already done edits and uploaded a Extra folder for ur board in the earlier post above and u still keep using different one and asking me help again. As I already warned you that ur using desktop board and ur trying to get laptop (MacBooK Pro Smbios) features which doesn't seem logical at all. I'm not saying MacBookPro will not work at all but u've to do it in another way which u may face issues. And for this reason I advised u to go for Mac Mini 5.1 smbios which is perfect match for your hardware and will run smooth. I also made a extra folder with macmini 5.1 and attached in my previous replies above. I asked u to try that after clean install and i dont know whether u did it or not, but now ur again asking for help saying that u changed ur id to 116. Do remeber 116 is macbookpro device id and 126 is mac mini, so i edited the dsdt with macmini id, which is also in the above extra folder. How can I help you If ur trying different fixes at same time and messing things, instead of following one fix at a time. My sincere advice is never take too many people advice nor try too many fixes at same time and mess the things unless u remember what ur doing and can cope with messing. Thanks
  14. Intel HD3000

Deepak...have u tried the method I suggested earlier in PM.
