  1. the mobo might be faulty, is there any way to check that ?
  2. Correct BIOS Settings, except some processor settings that don't show up. Apparently the E5200 is a Dual Core but it has the same architecture as a Core 2 Duo but with less Cache. Clean install 10.6.3 Retail, used you package, updated to 10.6.7, fixed audio and used your DSDT. Currently booting with arch=i386 so i can use the Realtek wireless. i get this in the last part of dmesg: but i don't know what to make of it. SMOS has arrived RTL8187: Ethernet address 00:15:af:36:dc:25 en1: DAD detected duplicate IPv6 address fe80:0004::0215:afff:fe36:dc25: NS in/out=1/1, NA in=0 en1: DAD complete for fe80:0004::0215:afff:fe36:dc25 - duplicate found en1: manual intervention required Initialized RowmoteIREmu USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 001D0F0C73BF5B8A0B0E015B 0x930 0x6545 0x100 Trying to change a collection in the registry Backtrace 0x507bd4 0x50791a 0x5bb8d59a 0x5bbc0a12 0x5bbd190d 0x56abea 0x56afa4 Kernel Extensions in backtrace (with dependencies): com.realtek.driver.RTL8187(1.0)@0x5bb8a000->0x5bbf5fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(1.10)@0x5b850000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(4.1.8)@0x555cc000 Trying to change a collection in the registry Backtrace 0x507b78 0x50791a 0x5bb8d59a 0x5bbc0971 0x5bbd18e5 0x56abea 0x56afa4 Kernel Extensions in backtrace (with dependencies): com.realtek.driver.RTL8187(1.0)@0x5bb8a000->0x5bbf5fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(1.10)@0x5b850000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(4.1.8)@0x555cc000 en1: DAD detected duplicate IPv6 address fe80:0004::0215:afff:fe36:dc25: NS in/out=1/1, NA in=0 en1: DAD complete for fe80:0004::0215:afff:fe36:dc25 - duplicate found en1: manual intervention required IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero Just noticed something new since i replaced the DSDT with the one you provided: After restart or shutdown, BIOS won't post until i shutdown the Power Supply and turn it back on.

  4. Hello there @314TeR, used your package and worked great. I would like your help with my DSDT if you have some spear time. I did try the superfassl's DSDTPatcher method and it fixed my USB mouse, but i still have issues with sleep and network controller, which stops working for no reason. here is my DSDT.dsl file dumped with acpidump from ubuntu. Specs: P5W DH Deluxe, 4G RAM, E5200, 8400GS 512M, 3002 BIOS Thanks in advance. DSDT.zip
  5. Can someone help me with DSDT for E5200 / 4G RAM / bios 3001 ?
  6. SAS Controllers w/ EFI for Mac OS X / OSx86 Solutions

I have been reading this post back and forward for the past days to find a Controller that would be able to boot in hardware Raid 0 under Leopard. I want to use it on a BadAxe2 Mobo with 2X Western Digital WD3000GLFS (SATA VelocyRaptor) benchmark The best 2 option i found until now are the Highpoint 2640 and Areca ARC-1220. But i noticed that Highpoint 2640 has PCI-e x1 host interface versus the PCI-e x8 found on Areca ARC-1220. Only begun to understand those number recently so I'm not sure if that PCI-e x1 would be a bottleneck factor if I would go and buy the Highpoint 2640. this site shows the following: PCIe x1 Application Datapath Width: 32 bit PIPE PHY Width: 16 bit PCIe Clock Frequency: 125 MHz Application Configurations: End Point, Root, Switch, Dual Mode (E/R) PCIe Line Bandwidth: *5Gbps PCIe x8 Application Datapath Width: 64 bit PIPE PHY Width: 8 bit PCIe Clock Frequency: 250 MHz Application Configurations: End Point, Root, Switch, Dual Mode (E/R) PCIe Line Bandwidth: *40Gbps * indicates the theoretical maximum line bandwidth. I'm not sure what to make of those values. gramarye, maybe you can give me a hand on this . @xhala_debru @jokinawa I understand you have the Areca Areca ARC-1220. I never used a add-on Raid controller so I would like to know if it allows you to build more than one raid0 array at the same time. I would have the same question for bouloi75 for that HighPoint 2640. Thanx in advance.
  7. HP LSI 3041E 4-Port SAS RAID Controller

I guess a SAS would be better, but I just bought two of those: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?DriveID=459 (Western Digital WD3000GLFS) And, as far as i know, for a SAS controller you need Serial Attached SCSI drives (SAS) . The board I want to use them on is a Intel BadAxe2 http://download.intel.com/support/motherbo.../d7364501us.pdf It has 3 PCI-X slots - (x16/x8/x4 electrical). On what Mobo did you test this ? It would be a shame to have those really fast drives and not use them at full speed. I'm opened to suggestions Edit: After a little documentation I learn that you can use SATA drives on SAS controllers. (my bad)
  8. Silicon Image Raid + p5w + won't boot

Running 10.5.5 iDeneb on my P5W DH Deluxe with 2 x 500G samsung in RAID 0 with the onboard Controller. As i remember i just enabled "EZ Backup Raid Mode Change" and it just worked. No issues on my board. Might be a hardware issue with yours. I'm also looking for a SATA 2 RAID 4 port controller to get raid on my Badaxe2. Anyone know of any good optionsv? I stumbled on this : http://www.satasite.com/4-port-serial-ata-ii-raid.htm but i'm not sure it works.
  9. HP LSI 3041E 4-Port SAS RAID Controller

i found this one but i'm not sure it works with OSX http://www.satasite.com/4-port-serial-ata-ii-raid.htm it has the Silicon Image SiI 3124-2 chipset Can anyone confirm it works ?
  10. HP LSI 3041E 4-Port SAS RAID Controller

actually i'm looking for a 4 port SATA controller that would work under leopard. From what i know about hardware a SAS controller would not work
  11. 5.1 Audio - P5W DH Deluxe

it's a good mobo, it would be nice if we had 5.1 working.
  12. HP LSI 3041E 4-Port SAS RAID Controller

I'm also looking for a 4 port compatible raid controller. I have a BadAxe2 and a Asus P5w Dh Deluxe
  13. My configuration: P5W DH Deluxe Intel Pentium D 940 (dual core 3.2Ghz) 2x1024 Geil 667 Mhz 6600 GT 128M 2xSeagate 500G sata2 -- on the orange ports Kalyway 10.5.2 - vanila kernel tested with xbench - 124 ( looks slow to me. ) Should i upgrade or somtin ? tnx
  14. Asus P5w dh deluxe remote
