  1. I just recently installed 10.5.8 onto a Dell Dimension 3000. While I have a working screen, it's stuck at 1024x768 with NO QE/CI. Since the Dimension 3000 only has PCI slots (no AGP), it looks like my only solution is to install a PCI graphics card. I tried using my google-fu, but I can't find anything definitive to get an answer as whether Leopard even supports PCI graphics cards let alone which ones. What (if any) would be a good PCI graphics card for running under 10.5.8 with QE/CI? Hoping to have DVI and output of 1920x1080. Would be nice if it could push some polygons for gaming too, but not a dealbreaker.
  2. Just seccessfully resurrected a Dell Dimension 3000 using iPC OSX86 & iDeneb combo updater to bring it to 10.5.8. I've had it running for about a half-day and everything seems pretty stable. What I would like to do now is install updates to make the system more secure. Running software update, the following are available: Remote Desktop Client Update Java for OS X 10.5 Flashback Removal Security Update Leopard Security Update 2012-003 Security Update 2011-004 Are any of these going to cause problems if installed? If so which ones?
  3. Introduce yourself.

Hey All! Thought I'd register now that I've successfully installed 10.5.8 on an old Dell Dimension 3000 (P4 class). I tried hackintosh'ing on a Dell e1505 some years back, but it was never stable enough for daily use. This round seems to have gone a bit better. Anyway, going to hit up the other forums to get some questions answered so I can get it completely dialed in. See ya around!
