  1. iwork 09 serial for iwork.com

Everyone- I have two computers running Leopard. One is a Mac Book Pro and the other is my Dell D630 HAckintosh. I installed the same iWork 09 on both computers using the same serial and i can only log into iWork.com through my real Mac...this may have something to do with the system profiler ID as mentioned above. I will try and get to bottom of why it is working on my real mac and not my hack-mac
  2. Has anyone successfully gotten both VGA and DVI out on their Dell D630 while docked for dual external monitor support? Is this even possible since no laptop mac has the option for dual external monitors?
  3. Here is the best post so far on how to get the GMAX3100 to work with 10.5.6. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...1784&st=520
  4. How did you finally get your QE to work. I can't seem to get mine to support it. Which install DVD, what updates, and what kexts did you use to get yours running perfectly as you say.
  5. 10.5.3 Experiences. Whats it break?

I have a dell D630 with the GMAX3100. Attempted the 10.5.3 update and it smoked my internal video. I can get that video to push through an external with full QE/CI supported, but all i get on my internal video are rose and pink and orange colored lines. Anyone else have this problem?
  6. Everyone- I haven't seen anything on this in the forums but i could be wrong. I found a way to make it so that your computer will COMPLETELY shutdown. Set the top left corner of your screen to a 'sleep display' hot corner. Then open an app (like iTunes) before you shutdown. Go to apple sign, click shutdown, then when the dialog box opens asking if you are sure you want to shutdown, move you mouse to the upper left corner, just before the hotspot; then hit enter to shutdown and quickly move you mouse to sleep the display. Your screen will sleep and your computer will completely shutoff. I know that this is a pain in the ass, but at least it is a start...
  7. iATKOS v1.0i r2 Blinking Cursor Fix

Try this.... reboot with the iATKOS DVD in...then hit F8 -s it will run some scripts as it loads up the command line once it is finished type fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 flag 1 (assuming that you are using the first partition) write update quit reboot then it should be all ready to boot.
  8. Is there any known update for iAtkos. I would like to give it a try but am afraid to lose my install. Please let me know if there is a iatkos update for 10.5.2
  9. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

Everyone- I was able to get the internal monitor working at 95% (only reason i put it at 95% is because i have to wake it to get it to work) The steps that i took are following: Install the AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext and AppleIntelGMAFB.kext along with the Natit from Errandwolfe's link above. If you have a Dell D630 - copy the string from his com.Boot.plist and paste into yours. Go into system preference, open up expose and spaces, then set one of your corners to sleep display Reboot... Once you reboot your screen will go completely black, now blindly trace your mouse over to whichever corner you chose for the sleep corner, and then move it back to the middle to wake the monitor and....Voila! C'est Magnifique! 1440X900 is gorgeous... After checking the System Profiler you will notice that you are full funcitonal with you QE/CI fully enable! Woo Hoo...i know this isn't the best but it is damn better than where we were three days ago. Now does anyone have an answer for the Sound on this damn thing? I believe the Dell D630's have Sigmatel 9205.
  10. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

So where do we go from here. Is there anyway to tell why it works one time and not another?
  11. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

Everyone- I had a break through today at work. After messing around with the video all morning, it finally worked. I had both the internal monitor and the external montior working. QE/CI enabled and the whole bit. My internal monitor was working at a 1440x900 res and the external was only at a 800x600 res. I went over to the external to try and change the resolution of the external to 1280x1024 and when it switched, it pulled all of the power away from my internal. I know that my interanl was still working because when i tried to get it to switch back i saw i glimpse of the screen and then the power went off. I then tried to switch the monitors using the HOt keys on my Dell D630 and then the screen got garbelled. Then i rebooted and all i could get was trhe external monitor at the full res. My internal would not power on again. I belive that the issue with the dell is a power managemnt issue. The video card works with the 10.5.1 AppleX3100.kext and AppleX3100FB.kext installed with natit.kext, but the fault is some where in the power management. I am not a expert on this but all i know is what happened to me today. We are so close let's keep this going. Dell D630 Intel 7300 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo - worked once Sigmatel 9205 - not working Dell 1490 - fully working
  12. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

How do you just "let" the display fall asleep with out hte computer going into sleep mode. If i let my computer go into sleep mode, i cannot get it to restore. I have a dell D630.
  13. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

Okay that makes sense...i wasn't sure if yuo didn't have internal video at all or if you were jsut missing the QE/CI. I am in your same boat then...everytime i use a AppleIntelx3100.kext my internal monitor disappears. I fixed the mouse issue (reinstalled kext). My brother has a new macbook with the X3100 is there anything that i can copy off of that to aid in this process?
  14. Leopard Laptops with NON-working GMA X3100

errandwolfe- I am running a Dell D630 and was having the same issues that you have mentioned above (internal monitor goes black after blue screen). I hooked up my computer to an extrenal monitor and it pushed the video to that one properly; however, i still couldn't get the video to go internally. I then deleted all of my AppleIntelX3100 kexts and the AppleIntelFramBuffer kexy and voila! I had internal video. The next issue that i now have is that fact that my internal mouse doesn't work. hope this helps. ejlax
