I also have AppleACPIEC loading under EC and AppleBusPowerController under IOResources.
EC is renamed from EC0 in config.plist.
Doesn't seem to be causing me any issues.

One thing I've noticed regarding Kexts
Why the need for an Executable path? Plist Path?
Majority of kexts have Executable as same name as kext.
The path is always the same too, so no need for that.
    Common Path Contents/MacOS/
    Common Plist Contents/Info.plist
e.g Use Common Path and the kext name as the Executable
    Common Plist for the....Plist

    Bundle Path FTS.kext
    Enabled.     Yes
    Comment    Why is it so

so basically reduce code to 2 or 3 lines.

I can’t help with your Dell DW1510 but I can recommend the Azurewave AW-CE123H. I’m using it in my laptop in Catalina.

    It’s an apfs drive.

I’ve just created an install USB so I’ll just reinstall.

    Thanks for the assist anyway

I tried running uninstalled.dmg but it said command not recognised.
@Matgen84 do you know how to use an uninstaller in single user mode?
I would prefer not to reinstall.

I am using a fake ec device (Z170x) and am having the same issue, no more AppleBusPowerControllerUSB in ioreg on Catalina. I haven’t tested other versions of macOS as I’m only running 10.15.
The EC device is in ioreg it’s just missing its entry for AppleBusPowerControllerUSB.

Yes and it will output the command when you run the tool. I only mention it as I know @SavageAUS is a Hackintool user.

In Hackintool under Tools there is a button called "Disable Gatekeeper and mount the disk in read/write mode" which should allow you to write to this location.

Are you using "Auto" Appearance? If so try setting Dark or Light and test icons.

So far so good with OsXAptioFixDrv3. I remember we talked here about OsXAptioFix drivers versus AptioMemoryFix. And...I think someone recommended AptioMemoryFix because of better, more up-to-date, support.

Also, at some point I had some issues with EmuVariable on a Skylake system with Nvidia Drivers. And since then, I was using AptioMemoryFix on that specific build for that specifc reason. Now, it was a long time ago so I don't remember exactly what the reason was, but basically I couldn't boot with EmuVariable and Nvidia Drivers anymore.

I haven't tried OsXAptioFixDrv3 with that...but now I'm not using Nvidia Drivers with that system. So it doesn't really matter anymore.

Thing is, guys...and I think I'm speaking for a lot of people here...options are good. But too many options are not. Cause it gets confusing.

For example, we've got 3 or 4 choices for memory fixing (OsXAptioFixDrv v1-v3 + AptioMemoryFix), a dedicated emulated NVRAM solution (EmuVariable), but if you're using OSXAptioFixDrv3 or AptioMemoryFix (both including fixes for non-native NVRAM), you don't need that anymore... And so on so forth.

There are too many options, in my opinion. Some of which are either redundant, obsolete or both. I think we need a bit of cleanup there. And only keep the stuff that people really use, without being confusing.

Also, Aptio memory fixes are NOT supposed to be used together, for as far as I know. Still, there is no protection inside Clover (and I've suggested this functionality before) to prevent users from selecting all of them if they want to. Cause they don't know which one does what. Which one has which features. Which one is good for which configuration. Which one is obsolete. And so on so forth. Now, I know Clover is not for stupid people. But that's not an excuse to make it confusing on purpose, is it?. :))

I also think we need more unity with this project. Especially when it comes to drivers. If they have the same scope, just choose the best option out there for the user, and use it by default inside Clover. The one with the best "coverage". The most complete one for most users.

Just to be clear, I'm not complaining. I think this has been an amazing project for many, many years! And I'm really grateful for everything you guys have achieved. I'm only suggesting a few things to make it even better.

Slice's FakeSMC apparently has fix for EmuVariableUefi-64 which leads to OSInstall.mpkg error. Unsure about the other.

There are two keys that need set, so I don't know to which one you're referring. Just set them as I said.

EDIT: If you need a special SSDT for cpu pm, then I don't really see what the difference is. Add the plugintype to that SSDT. Clover is just doing the same thing but dynamically so it's technically probably faster and gives better results to generate your own instead of letting clover do it since it tends to under power states since it's not based on the actual package TDP.

I don't know what you mean. No one is asking for anyone to get permission to use a patch as far as I know, and if they are then they are an a s s h a t.

Thanks to @SavageAUS for helping me test the new SSDT-UIAC.aml export support. For those that prefer to use SSDT patching rather than the USBPorts.kext method; this is for you.

You need to delete unused ports from the tool to stay within the limit.
