-lilubetaall & vsmcgen=1 are no longer needed as long as you have updated your kexts.
Have you tried minimizing your config? Remove some .aml, kexts, device properties?
I don't have x299 so these are just suggestions.

Try 77080000 I think (in ProperTree). I may be wrong but I think that’s what I’m using and I still get error 66. I didn’t delete apfs snapshots, left it vanilla, that could be why I still get error 66.

    I’ll upload my config later.

Could you add your hardware specs to your signature?

Attached my EFI folder minus resource folder and minus serial numbers.
This works 100% on my laptop in my signature.

We were discussing AirportBrcmFixup and its plugins which i put in the correct order.
If there are other issues in his config i didn't look at it.

@jlrycm Use the one attached and use ProperTree to make a snapshot of your OC folder.
Depending on the card you have you may also need to add this to your config.plist under DeviceProperties (change the compatible value if needed)
    <dict>     <key>AAPL,slot-name</key>     <string>WLAN</string>     <key>compatible</key>     <string>pci14e4,43a0</string>     <key>device_type</key>     <string>AirPort Extreme</string>     <key>model</key>     <string>Broadcom Brcm43xx Wireless Network Adapter</string>     <key>name</key>     <string>AirPort Controller</string>     <key>pci-aspm-default</key>     <integer>0</integer> </dict>

I edited the DeviceProperties to add what i have in config.plist and i also added the plugins for the new AirportBrcmFixup.kext to the config.plist.
You can try it as long as you add in your serials etc or copy over what i added / changed into your config.plist

This is assuming you have vanilla kexts in S/L/E

You need to find out what make it is. Elan, Synaptics or i2c. Then you can troubleshoot.
Voodoops2 is a good choice as long as it’s loaded correctly with OpenCore, you could also try ApplePS2SmartTouchpad, google will help find it.
What are you doing “snapshots” with?
Posting an IOReg and your config.plist (minus serial numbers / rom / mlb) will help too.
Mount EFI partition, copy EFI folder to desktop to modify before uploading (do not modify your hard drives config) also debloat your EFI folder, resources etc are not needed for diagnosis.

I set UEFI/APFS/JumpstartHotPlug to YES in OC config.plist (as recommended by this post @applelife.ru) and OC successfully booted to Big Sur Recovery .

I also tested the process of manually rebuilding kernel collections and prelinkedkernel (eg after new kexts copied to /S/L/E or /L/E) on the Big Sur volume from Recovery...

My only current "issue" is that an external monitor connected to HDMI port on my laptop does not detect anything. Same in Catalina, HDMI is definitely connected to iGPU.
