    Yosemite: Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA

    I updated to 10.10.1 yesterday, and I had sound after updating.
  2. Not yet, I will try it this afternoon. Another thing I'm thinking is that it might be the format of the partition that holds the installer. I am not at the computer now, but I'll around with both things later.
  3. No, I didn't include that kext in the folder.

    Clover General discussion

    I am trying to install Yosemite. When I choose "Install OS X Yosemite" in the Clover menu I get the following on the screen (using the -v boot flag): efiboot loaded from device: Acpi(...)/Pci(...)/Usb(...)/Usb(...)/HD(...) boot file path: .IABootFiles\boot.efi ................................................. root device uuid is ... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ What am I doing wrong? The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z97N-Gaming 5. I would be extremely grateful for a bit of help here. I've spent many days ready all the guides I could find. No matter what I do, I get this screen
  5. Thanks. But now the error I get is: b1f: init b1f: error And then nothing happens.
  6. I really have problems getting this up and running. I've read so many guides, but none of them are explicit about editing the config.plist file. I'm now quite sure that's where my problem is. Please, please, please help
  7. I don't get why adding SMBIOS is "totally necessary", when the Clover wiki states that "Clover will do this task automatically based on the given processor, video card and signs of mobility. However, you may choose differently." Source: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/SMBIOS I removed VBoxHfs-64.efi already (see my first post).
  8. Thanks PimentelX86. Unfortunately it didn't work. I'll try to add the stuff you said. Here's the end of the Clover_Install_Log.txt: Installing BootSectors/BootLoader Stage 0 - Don't write any of boot0af, boot0md, boot0ss to /Volumes/Install OS X Yosemite Stage 1 - Don't write any of boot1h2, boot1f32alt to /Volumes/Install OS X Yosemite Removing drivers64UEFI/VBoxHfs-64.efi driver because HFSPlus driver present ====================================================== =========== Clover EFI Installation Finish =========== ======================================================
  9. I am really having some trouble figuring this out. When I press space there is no "inject with kexts". I suppose this means that it should happen automatically. Even though, I suspect that the problem is related to the fact that FakeSMC.kext isn't injected properly. Help please
  10. Here's my config.plist: config.zip Did I post in the wrong part of the forum?
  11. I am having some problems with Clover. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I have installed Clover (r2988) on my USB thumb drive, added FakeSMC.kext in the 10.10 folder that I created myself, and replaced VBoxHfs-64.efi with HFSPlus.efi. I used a MacBook Air for preparing the thumb drive, if that makes any difference. When I boot from the USB I get to the Clover menu (= Clover works I guess), but when I choose "Install OS X" I get the message "efiboot loaded from device ... root device uuid is..." and the computer just stays there. Have I missed something? I suspect that the problem is related to my config.plist. Is it possible to upload it here? My system: - GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 motherboard. - Intel i5-4460 CPU. - Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 16 GB memory. - Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD. - Be Quiet! E10 400W PSU. - Corsair Carbide Air 240 case.

    Intel 7260 BT not working?

    I am having trouble with the Intel 7260 wi-fi/BT card that came with my motherboard. Wi-fi hasn't worked, but bluetooth worked in the beginning. Then it stopped working (it doesn't show up in System Preferences), then it appeared again yesterday, and now it's gone again. Does anyone know what to do about this? It's really annoying. I've read a bit about problems with the desktop wi-fi/BT card here: https://communities.intel.com/thread/45971?start=15&tstart=0 My system: - GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 motherboard. - Intel i5-4460 CPU. - Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 16 GB memory. - Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD. - Be Quiet! E10 400W PSU. - Corsair Carbide Air 240 case.

    Lion Preview.app crashing on launch

    I downloaded ML again and installed it, without transfering any files from my backup. I can't get rid of this problem which is extremely annoying. I've tried to repair permissions, delete the ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview folder, but without any luck. There are no .plist files in ~/Library/Preferences which I find a bit strange. I'm not sure it's supposed to be like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Lion Preview.app crashing on launch

    I have just installed 10.8 and now I am having a similar issue. The crash report looks slightly different each time. I can't use Preview at all, which is extremely annoying.
