  1. Rayman Raving Rabbids

Have anybody succeeded in making mouse working in RRR? I have used some latest Cider wrappers but can't get it. (Everything else seems work but this action game is useless without working mouse.) Also the same problem is reported with Linux port on WineHQ.
  2. The Cider Wrapper Library

    1. Good idea but really we need some special site for this subject - maybe CiderHQ similar to WineHQ ('There are 11512 applications currently in the database'!) - a place to collect reports and a forum. 2. Personally I prefer to test and discuss complete versions to compare results than wrappers: - there are usually many versions of the same games on the Net and the results maybe very different for them so reported bugs maybe not present in your version and performance tests may vary also - you can't be sure that everything will work in Cider just as on real PC so it may need editing game data/code also (scripts, fonts, movies, etc.). You can see that many current Ciderized games have annoying bugs that can't be resolved by Cider updates only - sometimes you should convert audio/video data, replace fonts, replace or edit 3D models, edit scripts to exclude buggy areas, edit or delete buggy maps, ... to make a game more playable and reliable - if it worth so certainly.
  3. HamachiX

    It is still online: http://homepage.mac.com/lxr/homepage/space...x/download.html
  4. Battlefield 2 **Cider** On-line play?

There is a Battlefield: Vietnam Cider port on the Net already for about a year - check Torrents (Vortex maybe, don't remember for sure). I've tested it - it works but the game too old to be interesting now.
  5. Assassin's Creed - unofficial cider

I've tested the full (6 GB) version by devilfire and it seems that it have a bug on the first saved level (Memory Block 1, Solomon's Temple) - the intro scene with three assassins don't finish - third assassin should leave the view at the end of it - and so I can't proceed with the game further. Does anybody else have found the same result? In my Russian version (wrapper + my game) everything works OK in the same place. I've also found that not all existing PC versions of Assassin Creed will work with devilfire's cracked application - my Russian version for example need another crack, it won't start with devilfire's. So if you can't launch your own assembled version it should be the case. For now I have two different versions. Russian is February 2008, English is March 2008 - probably later build. Russian is about 5,6 GB, English is about 6,8 GB and difference is not only due to sound files. English has 4 levels of graphics quality in menu, Russian - 3 levels only and graphics quality for the same level 1 in English version is lower so it can run faster with all minimal graphics settings in the same resolution with better sound. Applications are different, data files are not compatible. Seems that there is a bug in English version - see above. On my Mac Intel iMac 2.4 GHz, ATI HD2600 256 MB, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.5.6 both game versions are playable (more or less) in 1024x768 with all minimal graphics settings.
  6. Assassin's Creed - unofficial cider

Here are some screenshots for Assassin's Creed (Cider) running now on my Intel iMac 2.4 GHz, ATI HD2600 256 MB, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.5.6 (1024x768 with all minimal graphics settings): - original wrapper - severe graphics problems, very slow, buggy audio, not playable - current state (screens are for whole first level) - system.reg replaced, recommended tweaks - graphics problems are solved, fast enough, audio mostly fixed, playable - remaining graphics bugs (one map only) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1PS90WSQ
  7. Assassin's Creed - unofficial cider

It works! Reassembled the game (your wrapper + my cracked game) one more time and made necessary changes to accommodate it to my particular Mac - now the graphics is OK in most scenes, sound is still buggy but better then before (sometimes it is OK but become more buggy in action scenes and dialogs). The game is still a bit slow even on 1024x600 with all low video settings but more or less playable on: Intel iMac 2.4 GHz, ATI HD2600 256 MB, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.5.6
  8. Assassin's Creed - unofficial cider

FIRST RESULTS I've mixed your wrapper with my pre-installed Assassin's Creed (pre-cracked (Russian) version) and launch it (I've to change path in info.plist to do it) on: Intel iMac 2.4 GHz, ATI HD2600 256 MB, 4GB RAM, OS X 10.5.5 I've used your config settings first (1024x600 with all low video settings) - have a problem with graphics - some objects are not presented properly (missing or partly invisible) - and a problem with sound - echoing and looping sometimes (as it was already reported) - tried various DARE.INI settings but audio is still buggy. Tested also at max 1920x1200 with all maximum video settings - very slow, really unplayable. Have not tested it long - may be settings tweaking and wrapper file replacement will help, I'll see it later. Thanks anyway. P.S. Both 'ShadersLevel' should be 3.0 - if 2.x you'll have a black screen.
  9. Far Cry 2 Cider Porting

    City of Heroes
  10. Executable flags

Yes, I've seen no-Steam patches and launchers for LAN play for some games but have to test them on Mac.
  11. Executable flags

steamemu (Steam emulator) If you are using steamemu can you explain it's usage under Cider - what files are needed, where to place them, configs and inis, etc.
  12. C&C Renegade Cider Port

Command & Conquer Renegade works under CrossOver but I have tested first level only.
  13. rFactor or GTR2 on HackMac

There is a Cider port of GTR2 on the Net (1,6 GB) - check Vortex torrent for example.
  14. Games for Crossover Games

Here is a list of some PC games tested successfully under CrossOver Games 7.0 (at least reported so): Armed and Dangerous It works but I have tested first level only. AVP2 Works great, multiplayer too. Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 Graphics and audio seems OK, most levels tested. There were some problems: - annoying limited rotation movement by mouse - about 200 degree of full circle only - tweak .ini files - occasional crashes - see log - permanent crash on Rommel level loading - use cheats (saved games) to open all levels and skip it - tested resolution was 800x600 (default) - I can't set 1920x1200 from menu - try to tweak bia.ini directly Brothers in Arms uses modified Unreal Engine 2.0 so you can try usual Unreal tweaks to solve problems. Civilization IV (including Beyond the Sword) Excellent. (CrossOver Games 7.1) Command & Conquer Renegade It works but I have tested first level only. Counterstrike (1.6) No flaws with audio/video. Online play works great, even on cheat protected servers. Counter-Strike Source Works fine. Dawn of War Very well. No glitches, mostly smooth, slight stuttering when there's a lot of action. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (GotY Edition) Runs and is playable. Rather slow in outdoor areas, though, and ugly glitches on water surfaces. Fahrenheit Runs perfectly. You'll have to disable the fullscreen postprocessing effects, because the game would look like an overexposed picture, but apart from that you can crank up everything and it runs completely smooth. There are some very minor graphical glitches (like some weird shadows), but those don't spoil the game in any way. Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich Works. Almost perfectly. Guild Wars Factions Works indeed very well. Some minor glitches. Half-Life Runs flawless. No problems with audio or video, support widescreen resolutions (1920x1200). Half-Life 2 Plays fine, very smooth, most effects work. Half-Life 2 MODS (single-player, standalone): Metastasis, Penetration, Ravenholm Work flawless, all levels tested. Hitman 2 Silent Assassin It works but I have tested first level only. Il-2 Sturmovik Complete Edition Works and runs rather well (~30 fps in full detail), ugly graphic glitches in the clouds, but no joystick support at all – that makes the game essentially unplayable. Legacy of Kain It works but I have tested first level only. Max Payne 2 Runs flawless, really amazing, all levels tested. No problems with audio or video, support widescreen resolutions (1920x1200). Max Payne 2 MODS (single-player, standalone): Sprut It works. There are many MP2 mods on the Net but somehow I can't launch any of three tested mods from inside the game (through startup menu). Neverwinter Nights Runs well and very smooth – actually better than the Mac version under Rosetta. But movies don't play, and the game hangs for a second or so every other moment. Operation Flashpoint Runs and is playable, but timing problems in the cut-scenes (speech is too fast and skipping) and errors in the shadows. Out Run 2006 Coast2Coast Runs rather well, but irritating graphical glitches: the shadows of the other cars are floating weirdly all over the screen. Portal It works. (CrossOver Games 7.1) Prince of Persia (first) It works but I have tested first level only. Rare graphics bugs. Secret Files Tunguska It works. Silent Hunter III Runs really well, almost all graphic effects work. Rare graphics bugs. Trackmania Nations Forever Flawless. On highest settings and resolution absolutely smooth. NOTE: Some games require installation under Windows and NoCD patches, i.e. if you can't install a game in CrossOver then install it under Windows (BootCamp, Parallels or VMware) and apply a NoCD patch, then simply copy the game folder into one of your CrossOver bottles. Then you can start the game via the "Run Command..." option. Please add your results or info.
  15. My experiences with Crossover

Some PC games that I've tested successfully in OS X under CrossOver Games 7: Armed and Dangerous Command & Conquer Renegade Half-Life 2 MODS: Metastasis, Penetration, Ravenholm Hitman 2 Silent Assassin Legacy of Kain Max Payne 2 Max Payne 2 MODS: Sprut Prince of Persia Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 - some problems but it works: - annoying limited rotation movement by mouse - about 200 degree of full circle only (tweak .ini files) - occasional crashes (maybe ingame overflow) - permanent crash on Rommel level loading - use cheats (saved games) to open all levels and skip it - tested resolution was 800x600 (default) - I can't set 1920x1200 from menu - try to tweak bia.ini directly It was Russian PC license version bottled under CrossOver - seems does not matter but you can check original version also.
