    Macbook help!

I've never had this exact problem, but I've heard that hfs explorer works well http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html Use that, and then any burning utility to burn to disk. You could also try windows 7 usb dvd download tool (google it) I've got it to work with Linux, so it might be worth a shot. I'll try both these methods tomorow.

    Macbook help!

Mount your DMG to a USB, or burn it to a DVD, put that in your MacBook and reboot holding option, it should ask you which volume you want to boot from, select the install disk, either USB or optical. It should install Mac just fine.

    Dell Poweredge 2600

i have bought a dell poweredge 2600 server, 2 xeon procesors at 3.06ghz, 10gb ram, plan to use a pcix graphics card and a generic external usb audio card. ive had a hard time finding actual specs on this thing but i think it has a Single embedded Intel 10/100/1000 Gigabit NIC network chip. Dells spec page is http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/pe2600/en/ug/5j718aa0.htm ive just found now that it is a 2004 server running with Xeon III processors. i wanted to use it as a 'hack pro' running either lion or mountain lion 1) what are the chances of getting this running lion in the first place? any advice as to what the best way to install would be? 2) will the onboard network work, or is there a patch to make it work? 3) what is the likelihood of getting it running lion with raid working? is there patches required for that? any help would be great

Server Hackintosh as a high end desktop.

another issue, very few servers have pcie slots, would it be any different to use a pcix graphics card, will mountain lion recognise it, or is there a patch i can use?

Server Hackintosh as a high end desktop.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll get a server then, looking like it will be a dell powerEdge 1850, I'll try mountain lion first I have a MacBook pro running lion, it just isn't coping very well with everything I throw at it, Also does anyone know If chipsets could be an issue? Also are there any other things with it being a server rather than a standard desktop that could cause problems?
  6. firstly, im new, is this the right place to put this? also im new, so any help at all would be good Ive been looking at second hand servers on ebay, mostly 2006 or newer dell poweredge or Hp proliant. what are my chances of getting OSX running on one of these systems, preferably lion. i was thinking of using myHack. will this run, all the systems are Xeon processors and i read somewhere that mac and Xeon dont get along,
